This is the same tune as elsewhere in my catalog, only this is arranged for a smaller harp; one with 33 strings the lowest of which is F, such as the Caswell Gaelic. Written by Turlough O'Carolan, the blind Irish harper of the late 17th and early 18th century. He is credited with over 200 tunes and is regarded as the greatest composer of music for the Celtic Harp.  He spent over 40 years wandering all over Ireland before his death in 1738. There are over a dozen places in Ireland called Cashel, though it is believed that the one to which this tune refers is the one in County Roscommon.

This version is for ST duet with an SATB choir with ahs only and a string quartet that mirros the choir with a simple piano accompaniment. The form of the piece is more a French overture in two parts with a following movement then an Italian concerto. It is scored for Trumpet in D, Violin one and two, Viola, Cello, Double Bass and Harpsichord with figured bass. The speed of the first movement is open to interpretation. It is marked Vivace, but as you can hear in the youtube video featuring Maurice Andre, he plays the first movement quiet slow. I have written metronome marks for the first 2 movements, but please feel free to change these.I have included Trumpet parts for Trumpet in D, C & Bb as well as Piccolo Trumpet in A.
