Students in the Gold 1 level are comfortable with two hand playing and with the instrument in general. Continuing in the style of Bronze and Silver, note reading is not required. Focus on finger coordination, musicianship, and solid practice habits will be further enforced, and transposition in the keys C, G, D, A, E, and B learned. Scales in the same six keys will also be learned. The Finger Olympiad series is based on solid, modern, scientific learning strategies, avoiding some of the most common frustrations students encounter.  Instead focus is on attitudes, achievements and recognition. Finger Olympiad trains and focuses on specific skills for developing complete musicianship.
