An arrangement for clarinet quintet of  3 of Satie's most popular pieces of music: The Gymnopédies No.1 is the best known.My arrangement differs from most other arrangements that you may find, in that the melody is given to every player, the bass line moves between the three lower clarinets, and the five members of the quintet do not play together all of the time. This, I feel gives a bit of variation and interest to the players!! It is scored for Eb, 2 Bb, alto and bass clarinets (using this instrumentation will give some variation in tone colour  to the melody line) I have also provided Bb parts for the Eb and alto.   Please check out  the rest of my Satie arrangements for varying instrument combinations : 3 Gymnopédies and 3 Gnossiennes.
