He brought the idea to Kirsten Maldonado, the group's soprano, and with the help of singer-songwriter Audra Mae. We just wanted it to be five-part harmony, really simple; just an easy melody that people could understand, he explains.

Take My Breath Away is a song written by Giorgio Moroder and Tom Whitlock for the 1986 film 'Top Gun', performed by American new wave band Berlin. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in 1986. It was the second single from the film's soundtrack album, following Kenny Loggins' Danger Zone, and Moroder has said that of all the songs he has produced in his career, he is most proud of this track.
