Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1425804 By Damien Gauci. By Damien Gauci. Contemporary,New Age. Score. 10 pages. Damien Gauci #1006564. Published by Damien Gauci (A0.1425804). I rarely start by writing a composition with the name in mind but it’s something that I try to do more often and it’s something that I for this piece. When I came up with the name ‘Bloom’ I really wanted to write a piece or at least an opening section that sounded like that word, where the music blooms out like a flower. The first and last section are the same and are just a chordal pattern that rises up from the left hand into the right hand. This kind of writing is simple but quite effective as it slowly evolves over time as the chords change and allows for reflective mood. The middle section does go in a bit of a different direction but I still wanted to infuse elements from the first section into this section as well as use the gesture of ‘Bloom’ in some way. This sections still evolves in it’s own way but I would say I wrote it in a more through-composed style with different little themes that come and go. I hope you are able to image the music ‘Bloom’ when you listen to it.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1433339 By Artie Shaw. By Artie Shaw. Arranged by Edited Robert C. Olivia. Jazz. 176 pages. Robert C. Olivia #1013630. Published by Robert C. Olivia (A0.1433339). This edition of the Artie Shaw Concerto for Clarinet is a note for note transcription of what Shaw recorded on the record version and in the motion picture. These are the parts for the big band and strings. Shaw’s solos as played in both the motion picture and record version are represented in great detail with the film solo shown as ossia so the player can view and choose which they might prefer to play. Techniques are carefully detailed to show ornaments, slurs, accents etc. This edition restores many elements missing in other versions available. The strings here are restored to the original voicings so important to the style of the classic sound of the period. The solos are transcribed note for note as played by greats such as Billy Butterfield on Trumpet, Johnny Guarnieri on Piano, Les Robinson on Alto Sax, Jerry Jerome on Tenor Sax, Vernon “Brownie” Brown on Trombone. There is an entire sax riff that was extemporaneously improvised during the session that is missing entirely in other published versions. The instrumentation is also restored to only the instruments that were used in Shaw’s recordings. There are many details that help the ease of performability of the genre and gesture of jazz idiom. Lastly, the intention is that this should be performed with saxophones. However, there are optional parts for clarinets and bassoons that can be used only if saxes are not available.

Saxophone Quintet,Woodwind Ensemble Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813973 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Multicultural,World. 7 pages. Regis Bookshar #6635871. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813973). Tenor Saxophone Quintet - Intermediate - Digital Download. This arrangement of Silent Night, or in German, Stille Nacht, would be a wonderful addition to any music library and could be performed for Christmas concerts, recitals, and, especially, church services. It is equally suitable for junior and senior high school students and even older musicians. Depending on their ability, younger musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (7 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.Silent Night is probably the most popular Christmas carol ever written. It was composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr and was first performed on Christmas Eve at St. Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, a small village in present-day Austria. A young Catholic priest, Father Joseph Mohr, had written the poem, Stille Nacht, in 1816 and had gone to Oberndorf in 1817. The melody was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, schoolmaster and organist in the nearby village of Arnsdorf. On Christmas Eve, 1818, Mohr brought the words to Gruber and asked him to compose a melody and guitar accompaniment for that night's mass, after river flooding had possibly damaged the church organ. The church was eventually destroyed by repeated flooding and has since been replaced with the Silent-Night-Chapel.According to Gruber, Karl Mauracher, an organ builder who serviced the instrument at the Oberndorf church, was enamored with the song, and took the composition home with him to the Ziller Valley in Tyrol, Austria. From there, two traveling families of folk singers, the Strassers and the Rainers, included the tune in their shows. The Rainers were already singing it around Christmas, 1819, and once performed it for an audience that included Franz I of Austria and Alexander I of Russia. They also gave the first performance of the song in the United States in New York City in 1839. By the 1840's, the song was well known and was reported to be a favorite of Frederick William IV of Prussia. During this period, the melody changed slightly to become the version that is commonly heard today. The version of the melody that is generally used today is a slow, meditative lullaby, or pastoral, differing slightly from Gruber's original which has a moderate tempo. The song has been translated into about 140 languages and has been recorded by many singers across many music genres. The version sung by Bing Crosby in 1935, has sold over 10 million copies as a single. In this arrangement of Silent Night, Regis Bookshar has kept the basic form of this familiar Christmas carol, but has also included a descant during the third verse. Also, in addition to this version for a Tenor Saxophone Quintet, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. There are Quintets and Octets readily available for purchase. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Silent Night will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Woodwind Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.900410 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Gustavo Fuentes. Celtic,Folk,Holiday,New Age,World. 3 pages. Gustavo Fuentes #3637565. Published by Gustavo Fuentes (A0.900410). Flowers of Edinburgh. Scotish music song, arranged for three voices. Two melody instruments, such as tin whistle, low whistle, flute, recorder, harmonic or violin, and low voice like cello or bass, with chords for piano or guitar. The audio is from to the Gustavo Fuentes CD Almas en vuelo that you can listen to on Spotify. The hornpipe is a traditional dance in Ireland and Scotland. The legend says that sailors used to dance the hornpipe before setting sail. It makes sense that they would dance atop bar tables until their legs gave out: after all, on each journey they put their lives at risk. Dancing is a way to face one’s fears and find the happiness that lies within. It is a way to find hope amidst uncertainty. We should dance when we are happy, so we can be happier. We should dance when we are sad, so our sadness can be soothed. We should dance like our sailor ancestors once did, so that we can know that even though the journey might be dangerous, if we are tired from dancing, nothing can go wrong.

Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.921039 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Michael Drennan. Contemporary. Score and parts. 25 pages. Drennan Music Publications #6475069. Published by Drennan Music Publications (A0.921039). This one was requested by a student a few years ago and it turned into my Concert Band’s favorite piece that year. A few things about this piece. First thing is that I had a large number of solid Alto Saxophone players when I arranged this. So there are two Alto Saxophone parts that are fairly even in skill level.  Second thing is that there are a few punches that I pulled and a few I did not when it comes to simplifying the original piece for beginners. The triplet at the end of the main melody I changed to two eighth notes, and the Clarinets stay under the break. I left the accidentals as is, so there are Câ™s and a few others that are challenging. The harmonies in the B section of the main melody were left as is, as well as the rhythm in measures 41 to 47.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.873046 Composed by Sally Whitwell. Contemporary. Score. 11 pages. Sally Whitwell #6119391. Published by Sally Whitwell (A0.873046). A Week in November… and what a week it was! It was the week of the US Presidential Election 2020. As I write these words, the absurdist tantrums of the Trump-Pence campaign versus the reasoned compassion of team Biden-Harris continues even well after the results have been called in the Democrats’ favour. There will not be the usual respectful concession speech and transition of power. I worry every day about how these next few months will be so very difficult, maybe even dangerous, for my American friends. Those convoys of flag waving Trumpists gleefully, openly, encouraged by their ‘leader’, attempting to block the democratic process was horrifying to witness. Was America on the brink of civil war? It still doesn’t seem far fetched to think that as I sit in my studio on the other side of the world, feeling helpless. The only thing I felt that I could do for my friends over there was to offer them a way to feel safe and loved in the moment, a bit of musical mindfulness.  It was in this spirit that I wrote the second movement of this work, subtitled A Pocket Full of Calm. My excellent pianist friends Erica Sipes (USA) and Sandra Mogensen (Canada) adopted my little tune, recorded it on their social media to share said moment in the moment as it were. I hope it helped. I mean, if I can bring to even just one person some sense of calm solidarity, I’m happy with that. The fifth movement in the set, Victorious, resolute, but gracious, was a stream-of-consciousness creative response to the Biden Harris victory and the way they handled it so eloquently, so humbly, how they gave the world a sense of optimism once more. For a long while, I’d felt that I probably wouldn’t be welcome in America. As a mixed race, queer woman I was the antithesis of everything they valued. But now, people like me over there can feel human again. The relief! As for the other days of that week in November, they are part of a continuing series of daily composition exercises I started back in October in an effort to end a lengthy period of pandemic-induced creative block. Using a combination of exercises from Music Composition Toolbox (Barbeler/Blom/Hindson) and Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies I’ve been able to find my creativity again. Starting a composition ‘habit’ is the best thing I’ve done for my writing all year and is how I mean to continue for a long time. Sally Whitwell12 November 2020

String Ensemble Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1371318 By Elvis Presley. By George David Weiss, Hugo Peretti, and Luigi Creatore. Arranged by Joe Buzzelli. Film/TV,Pop,Rock,Traditional,Wedding. 33 pages. Joe Buzzelli #949831. Published by Joe Buzzelli (A0.1371318). The last version of Can’t Help Falling in Love your string ensembles will ever need.As a working freelance violinist, I understand the difficulty that comes with assembling a book of quality arrangements for your string ensembles. Whether it’s due to performer’s availability or a client’s budget, that difficulty is only magnified by adapting arrangements for one instrumentation to another. All too often a string trio will be given music for a quartet and the performers are left trying to read multiple parts and pick the most import notes from each on the fly while the audience is left listening to an arrangement that will always feel as though it’s missing something — because it is.I seek to solve this problem by taking the same core arrangement and adapting it to nearly any combination of string instruments you could need while preserving the style and character across versions. In doing so, I have also aimed to keep each version as similar to the others as possible to ensure that once you have learned one version, you will have no trouble at all jumping in to any of the other instrumentations. This series of arrangements also strives to be as easy on the performers as possible. Each version is in string friendly keys and ranges (either G or D depending on the range constraints of the instrumentation), contains minimal page turns, and has a clearly notated repeat structure that allows for continuous looping as needed.Whether you are a teacher looking for music for your ever changing classroom or a professional looking for a chart that you can be sure will be read correctly the first time, this arrangement of Can’t Help Falling in Love with You is the end of your search.Purchase contains:Quartet - Parts & ScoreTrio - Violin/Viola/Cello - Parts & ScoreTrio - Violin/Violin/Cello - Parts & ScoreDuo - Violin/Cello - Parts & ScoreDuo - Violin/Violin - Parts & ScoreDuo - Violin/Viola - Parts & ScoreDuo - Viola/Cello - Parts & Score.

Published by Phil Lehenbauer (A0.1475634). This work for trombone and organ is part of the 2024 Suite for Trombone and Organ, which is geared toward the younger, less experienced player, with works that can be performed at church services and other occasions.  This Processional March in F is a ceremonial piece, and could serve as a prelude, a postlude, a wedding processional, or during any other celebratory moment.  The range is one that a typical high school player (or advanced middle schooler) could play, with rhythms well within the reach of players at that level.  The solo part is well-supported by the organ part, with hopes that rehearsals can be minimal in putting this together for performance.  There are two other movements to this 2024 Suite, both available on this site as well.  Please give that young musician the chance to shine!  Also included is a treble clef part that could be played by trumpet, treble clef baritone, or tenor sax.

It looks deceptively simple but the learning and challenge comes from two smaller sub-ensembles playing together in their own collective units legato con moto while playing together as a whole music ensemble Everyone will enjoy and bathe in the beautiful harmonies that will resonate when the entire music ensemble begins to listen to each while playing together as a group. Your musicians will hone their skills in playing together with just the right balance that this song requires. Your musicians will also hone their skills for subdividing and maintaining an inner beat that is in sync with your conducting because there is no percussion and the notes are freely flowing on and off the down beat yet not sounding heavily syncopated when performed. When will you know when you have achieved the right balance and flow of the music? You will know when, because you will hear it and feel it when it comes into place. But I can help you with all of this with what I have to offer you today. I share with you now Tears from My Eyes: Mourning in the Rain (for Clarinet Choir).Tears from My Eyes music collection is very suitable and moving for funerals, memorials, church, or contemplative settings. Helpful hints: In addition to getting the counts down, even more important is to practice feeling the music collectively together because rigid counting takes away from the flowing emotive nature of the piece. There are actually 3 smaller ensembles within this piece that all three subgroups must musically move together in harmony, rhythm, and balance. When that is achieved, the music and harmonic overtones will be exquisite. The instrumentation is also so important because of the timbre that each instrument contributes to the ensemble. Musicality is key to this piece. This song is the title song on Tito Abeleda's album Mourning in the Rain released on 9/11/2019.Contact info: Tito AbeledaVisionary Quest Recordshttps://www.visionaryquestrecordsEmail: tito@visionaryquestrecords.comFollow Tito on Social Media:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/titoabeledaTwitter: https://twitter.com/titoabeledaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/tabeledaYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/titoabeledaSpotify: http://bit.ly/TitoAbeleda-on-SpotifyiTunes/Apple Music: http://bit.ly/TitoAbeleda_iTunesPerforming Rights Organization is BMI.com.Customer Service: 800-925-8451
