This book has posed some issues as it is such complex music it is almost impossible to cut it down to 5 parts while maintaining its integrity. As a result, some songs will be in 6 or more parts. Interrotte speranze is another song about unrequited love for two tenors. Interrupted hopes, eternal faith, Powerful flames and beams in the weak heart His love is unrequited, so he wishes the lady ill! (Spoiled brat!) The seventh book is quite a change from the earlier ones. Monteverdi seems to be concentrating on developing solos and duets, trios and small accompanied ensembles. The accompaniments are often written out with more than just long note chords. The intricate instrumental parts are more than just filling in the harmony (hence the difficulty in paring them down.) Once again, these songs are exquisitely crafted and travel well onto brass.

Mozart composed part of the Requiem in Vienna in late 1791, but it was unfinished at his death on 5 December the same year. A completed version dated 1792 by Franz Xaver Süssmayr was delivered to Count Franz von Walsegg, who commissioned the piece for a requiem service on 14 February 1792 to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of his wife Anna at the age of 20 on 14 February 1791. This is my arrangement of No.5 Confutatis (From the accursed).It begins with a rhythmic and dynamic sequence of strong contrasts and surprising harmonic turns on tuba and horn the tenors and basses (Trumpets and trombone) burst into a forte vision of the infernal, on a dotted rhythm. The accompaniment then ceases , and trumpet 1 and tbn enter softly and sotto voce, (Voca me cum benedictis ()Call upon me with the blessed) with an arpeggiated accompaniment on horn and trumpet 2. Finally, in the following stanza (Oro supplex et acclinis), there is a striking modulation from G minor to Gb minor. This music suits the brass quintet. Section III of the requiem is titled “Sequenz� (sequentia or sequence). It is made up of the following pieces I have arrangements of all of them, for varying types of ensemble * Dies irae * Tuba mirum * Rex tremendae * Recordare * Confutatis * Lacrymosa. I have also arranged Mozarts Motet “Ave Verum Corpus� K618.

Published by TJHoltMusic (A0.1021631). Tarantella for the Boys, Op. 24 was written for solo piano and is dedicated to my nephews Braxton, Brayden, and Bryson. The overall mood is reminiscent of their energetic personalities with exception of the Bryson, the youngest nephew, who is under a year old at the time of composing this piece; the others are 2 and 4 years old respectively. The form of this piece is a rondo and one motive represents each of the boys with each motive becoming a little more subdued. On the other hand, the initial motive is the conglomerate of all three of their personalities, which returns often throughout the piece. At the end of the piece, the energy reaches a point where it is almost out of control, even clumsy, and ends with my middle nephew Brayden face-planting on the ground due to his clumsiness.Composed by Tyler J.
