Arranged by Adrian Horn. March. Brass Band. 73 pages. AJH Brass #792292. Published by AJH Brass (A0.1192838). ‘The Free Lance’ march uses themes taken from Sousa’s operetta of the same name. As there were so many march tunes within his operetta, Sousa tried to include them all within this march, thus giving it a longer and more unusual construction than found in most of his marches. The trio of the march is the song ‘On To Victory’ from the operetta. A name under which the march has also been published at various times. The operetta itself is about Sigmund Lump, a mercenary who hired himself out as leader to two opposing armies. He manoeuvred both armies so that neither could win, eventually declaring himself as emperor of both nations! This arrangement is for British style Brass Band, and the download includes a full score and set of parts.

Cello,Medium Voice,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1258631 Composed by Nicholas White. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary. 48 pages. Nicholas White Music #851889. Published by Nicholas White Music (A0.1258631). These twenty short pieces were composed between March 15 – 25, 2020, during the first days of self-isolation and social distancing brought about by the COVID 19 global pandemic. They were conceived as a set of dances and meditations, with the intention of providing music for a dance performance. The individual movements themselves are free form in construction. The countertenor (or mezzo-soprano) part is wordless, with the exception of the penultimate song “The Color Fades to Greyâ€, which serves as a poignant moment of heart-on-sleeve passion before the recapitulation of the first movement. The title of the piece, a play on the concept of 20/20 vision, written in the year 20/20, containing 20 movements, and 20 measures in each, was a gift to the tranquility of order. Having 20/20 vision does not necessarily mean you have perfect vision. 20/20 vision only indicates the sharpness or clarity of vision at a distance. Other important vision skills, including peripheral awareness or side vision, eye coordination, depth perception, focusing ability, and color vision, contribute to your overall visual ability. There is always more than one way to look at things!

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1454722 Composed by Al Stillman and Elmer Bernstein. Arranged by John Langley / Studio Orchestrations. Film/TV,Historic,March,Patriotic,Thriller. 106 pages. Www.studio-orchestrations.com #1033795. Published by www.studio-orchestrations.com (A0.1454722). The Great Escape (1963) is one of the great American epic war adventure films starring some of the greatest actors of the age like Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, Charles Bronson, Donald Pleasence, James Coburn, David McCallum, Gordon Jackson, among many others.  The soundtrack was composed by Elmer Bernstein who had enjoyed great acclaim for his music for the 1960 epic The Magnificent 7 (also starrring Steve McQueen).  The Great Escape March theme is regarded as one of the best loved war film themes harnessing both a British and an American patriotic flavour in its themes.  Its bitter sweet jauntiness successfully catches the mood of the film, the optimism and indominatable spirit of the prisoners always hell bent on trying to escape, and the German march theme also makes a brief appearance to reflect all the voices in the narrative of the story.  Other film composers have used a similar approach using a jaunty march theme like Bernstein does - notably The bridge over the river Kwai and A bridge too far - while other composers have tried (arguably) less successfully to encapsulate appropriate pathos alongside that optimism in the 'optimistic' themes. This arrangement is a great bite sized orchestral excerpt appropriate for any concert of film music, or military war/historic themes. INSTRUMENTATION:FlutePiccolo2 Oboes2 Clarinets2 Bassoons4 Horns4 Trumpets3 TrombonesTubaTimpani3 Percussion [Bass Drum/Cymbals/2 Side Drums]StringsFeel free to browse other similar titles on this website written by John langley and Paul Campbell at www.studio-orchestrations.com

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565783 By Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Sharon Wilson. By Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Sharon Wilson and Sharon Wilson Music. Children,Christmas,Classical,Multicultural,Romantic Period,World. Score. 5 pages. Sharon Wilson #6133471. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565783). Here is an upbeat and cheerful arrangement for piano solo of the seventh movement in Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ever-popular Nutcracker Suite. While maintaining characteristics of the original work, subtle variations add a contemporary interpretation creating a simplified, yet festive instrumental selection. This song is the perfect addition to the classical holiday repertoire for the intermediate pianist. This song is one of the 8 piano solo arrangements in the collection The Nutcracker Suite (Complete Collection for Piano Solo).  These arrangements were created to make challenging classical music more accessible for the intermediate player or easier to sight-read by more advanced players. Another feature of these arrangements is they are consistent at the intermediate skill level throughout each piece. Many have been simplified and only include excerpts from the longer original movements. Other simplified characteristics include easier key signatures and timings and some melodies were modified to create a smoother flow between phrases.Visit Sharon Wilson's website: https://www.sharonwilsonmusic.com/Subscribe to her YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/@SharonWilsonMusicCover Image Credit: Pixabay.com

Cello,English Horn,Oboe,Piano Accompaniment - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1020744 Composed by Brian Strohmetz. Contemporary. 22 pages. Brian Strohmetz #5299807. Published by Brian Strohmetz (A0.1020744). Time: 4min Instrumentation: Solo Oboe/English Horn, Solo Cello, Piano Accompaniment Program Notes: The definition of Bokeh according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary;  the blurred quality or effect seen in the out-of-focus portion of a photograph taken with a narrow depth of field. It wasn’t until I set out to write this piece that I did research on one of my favorite photographic techniques. I always called bokeh those cool looking out of focus lights. Once I learned the techniques name, my fascination with it grew. In my research, I found that the photographs I was drawn to the most were those of out of focus city lights, and out of focus Christmas lights. One had a frantic beauty, the other a more calming comforting beauty. All beautiful in their own unique way. I wanted to capture in music what the photographer captured in film. To capture a certain kinetic electric energy. To capture a certain kind of momentary beauty. To see through music the photographers eye.
