Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1111745 By Thad Jones. By Alec Wilder and Thad Jones. Arranged by Ken Litton. Advent,Christmas,Holiday,Jazz,Standards. Octavo. 13 pages. Artist of Note, Inc. #713987. Published by Artist of Note, Inc. (A0.1111745). Duration 3:30 A Child Is Born is a truly beautiful picture—sacred or secular—of the Advent story painted from the enduring viewpoint of his mother, Mary. Written in 1969 by jazz trumpeter Thad Jones. The lyrics were added independently by Alec Wilder after he heard the Thad Jones - Mel Lewis Orchestra perform it. The song has been described by Bob Yurochko (with contributor Wynton Marsalis) in A Short History of Jazz as a “beautiful ballad of mainstream jazz. This arrangement begins with a quiet intro in which both the piano and the Bb Instrument touch very lightly on Silent Night. The easily memorized single stanza is sung first by the altos, who are then joined by and succeeded by the sopranos and then deftly handed off to altos, tenors and basses who are subsequently involved in each four-part cadence point well as other unison and two-part sections. The halved repeat of the stanza can be a very nice piano feature or, optionally a Bb instrument—Flugelhorn (even a muted Trumpet) a Bb Clarinet or a Bb tenor saxophone can supply the solo with the voices singing the very light background. The key change is kept simple, with a descending scale into the new key. The final section makes additional mention of STILLE NACHT as well as echoing the intro at the jazz ending. Still, the instrumental part remains optional and the chord symbols make it easy to include string bass or even gentle jazz guitar (drums on this should, of course be mainly light brushes). The vocal parts are limited to practical ranges and, while there is divisi in the soprano part, each voice is always easily sung). The accessible accompaniment has comparatively little movement in the left hand beyond the middle of a typical measure, especially when there are technical requirements in the right hand. #choral #jazz choral #church choral #liturgical choral.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1113378 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mark R. Fotheringham. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 2 pages. Kevin G. Pace #715316. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1113378). A beautiful, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mark R. Fotheringham. Text: Kneel in faith; seek God’s grace. Feel His loving embraces. All fear shall fail, pain shall cease, When from sin released. Christ has descended beneath worldly stain That you might be raised up again. Seek His will; tread His ways. Ponder His spoken phrases. The dawn shall break, shadows flee, When God's truth you see. When you accept heaven's purpose and might, Then you are enfolded with light. Serve and bless all mankind. Ease and comfort with kindness. Extend your hand, heal and lift. Seek to share God's gift. Helping another to see heaven's Word, will find you embraced by The Lord.

Instrumental Duet Harp,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.899490 Composed by Public Domain and Traditional. Arranged by JulieAnn Smith. Christmas,Contemporary,Instructional,New Age. Score and parts. 4 pages. JulieAnn Smith Music #3260435. Published by JulieAnn Smith Music (A0.899490). 2017 Holiday Contest Entry All Through The Night for small non lever harps is full of surprises for the musician & audience alike. The left hand carries the melody while the right hand plays an accompaniment of opposing rhythm; later switching hands. This arrangement plays well on any size harp including pedal harps & also the piano! In the key of C it is easy yet doesn't sound simple! A great study in playing different rhythms together, & a good technical study. .

Violin Duet Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1410764 By Justin K. Reeve. By Justin K. Reeve. 21st Century,New Age. 6 pages. Justin Kenlon Reeve #993160. Published by Justin Kenlon Reeve (A0.1410764). An original piano/instrumental song. Somehow it reminds me of the last days of spring, a bittersweet farewell to the end of the early blooms. Can the rose of summer fade,The bright and blooming rose?Shall winter sweep the glade,Where its tender beauty blows? There is perfume in the air,And it steals from the opening flower; But the winds shall rudely tearThe treasures of field and bower. They fade, — how soon they fade,The flowers of earth and sky!Was all that beauty made,To smile a moment and die?O, will not the colors stay,That glow in the west at even,And the hues of the rising dayBe ever the charm of heaven?O, let me not think the flowersShall ever be borne awayFrom the full and loaded bowers,Where they welcome the early day.I would not indulge one thought,That a rose or a cheek could wither; But believe their colors, caughtFrom heaven, shall be wafted thither.– James Gates Percival.
