Large Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Bass Guitar,Clarinet,Drums,Flute,Piano,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.876447 Composed by Joe Procopio. Dance,Jazz,Pop. Score and parts. 24 pages. JoeCopio Music LLC #53323. Published by JoeCopio Music LLC (A0.876447). LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) Back to School 2015 From PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES by Joe Procopio LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) is a delightful Latin flavored dance that was inspired by Little Miss Lilly who could tumble on command all by her big self when she was only 15 months old. When I first saw her dance and tumble at such a young age, I was so moved that I wrote this piece to celebrate her ability to amaze everyone with her dancing and tumbling. LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) was originally written and arranged for a small ensemble, band, stage band or combo with flexible instrumentation so that it may be performed with only two Saxophones (Alto Sax I and Alto Sax II) and a standard backup with Piano/Keyboard, Guitar, Bass and Drums. In addition, any combo may be augmented by adding any or all of the parts included for Flute, Clarinet, Tenor Sax, and Baritone Sax. This flexible or variable instrumentation of LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) makes it unique and perfect for schools and colleges that do not have a permanent roster of music students entering their music programs annually. It also eases the burden for Directors searching for good music to perform for groups with ever changing numbers of music students. What’s more, LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) has a section open for solos to enable the ensemble to feature players who can improvise well enhancing not only the group’s enjoyment but also everyone’s listening pleasure. This piece is composed in the same style of the other dances in the set - all of which have been performed by College and High School students in many major concert events along the East Coast with great success. It is published separately and in a set entitled PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES PART 1 from the sets PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES Part I and Part II. Each Part contains 3 Dances. I have adapted the audio here for synthesizer so that it may be previewed. It is one of 6 works named and dedicated to each of my 6 Grandchildren: Lilly, Mary, Lydia, Emma, Joey and Wilson. Instrumentation for LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) includes SCORE and parts for: ALTO SAX I ALTO SAX II TENOR SAX BARITONE SAX FLUTE CLARINET PIANO/KEYBOARD - GUITAR - BASS - DRUMS VITA Joe Procopio is a master musician and teacher with proven success for over 50 years. Large Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.522130 Composed by Ditlev Ludvig Rogert (1742-1813) and Hans Ernst Krøyer (1798 -1879). Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Contemporary. Score and parts. 37 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #3428555. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522130). Denmark has two national anthems. The first, Der er et yndigt land (There is a lovely land) is the civil national anthem and the most frequently performed. When it was first published in 1819, the anthem had twelve verses but today it has been significantly shortened. The dotted rhythm in measure 15 (in Parts 1 and 2) is sometimes played as two equal eighth notes (quavers). The second anthem, Kong Christian stod ved højen mast (King Christian stood by the lofty mast) has equal status but is mainly used for royal and military occasions. At such times, it is either performed alone or the two anthems are played together. Known simply as Kong Christian it is traditionally sung in Denmark immediately after midnight every New Year's Eve. The audio sample contains the first, more popular anthem. These quick and easy national anthem arrangements are essential for traveling musicians, bands, instrumental groups and both amateur and professional ensembles. You can play it with any virtually any combination of instruments: symphonic band, clarinet choir, brass ensemble, brass band, solos, duets and trios - almost anything! This arrangement is in six independent parts each transposed into a variety of keys. For the most satisfying sound you’ll need to get a good balance between each part possibly with an emphasis on the melodic line. If you have a non-standard ensemble, you can pick 'n' mix as required. The piano reduction can fill missing parts or can be used as the basis for an accompaniment. Note that this anthem is virtually identical to the anthem of Finland. There is a minor difference in part of the melody and the repeat structure is different. This arrangement consists of a four-page score with seven instrumental staves and three percussion staves. The following parts are printed on separate pages. The score and all the parts are contained in the same pdf file. Part 1 in B flat (clarinet, trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, soprano sax); Part 1 in C (glockenspiel, violin); Part 1 in E flat (alto sax, E flat clarinet); Part 1a in C (octave above concert for flute, piccolo, oboe, violin) and Part 1a in E flat (E flat cornet in brass band). Note the parts in Kong Kristian go a bit too low for flute and oboe, so Parts 1a or 2a should be used instead. Part 2 in B flat (clarinet, trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, soprano sax); Part 2 in C (flute, oboe, violin); Part 2 in E flat (alto sax); Part 2a in C (octave above concert pitch for flute, oboe, violin); Part 2a in B flat for clarinets; Part 2a in E flat (minor 3rd below concert for E flat alto clarinet). Part 3 in B flat (tenor saxophone, B flat baritone); Part 3 in C (bass clef for trombone, bassoon); Part 3 in C alto (alto clef for viola); Part 3 in E flat        (tenor horn, alto sax); Part 3 in F (French horn);  Part 3a in B flat (8ve below concert for 3rd clarinets in band). Part 4 in B flat (tenor sax, baritone); Part 4 in C (bass clef for trombone, euphonium, bassoon, cello); Part 4 in E flat (tenor horn, alto sax); Part 4 in F (French horn). Part 5 in B flat (baritone); Part 5 in C (bass clef for trombone, euphonium, bassoon. Part 6 in B flat (B flat bass, bass clarinet); Part 6 in C (bass clef for bass trombone, bassoon, contrabassoon, tuba, double bass); Part 6 in E flat  (E flat bass, baritone sax). There’s also a part for timpani, percussion (3 players) and a piano reduction.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1085375 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 9 pages. Kevin G. Pace #689522. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1085375). Sacred music for SATB choir with an Easter theme. Music by Kevin G. Pace. Text by Mary Ann Snowball. See text below: Why did the Savior die for me on Calvary’s mount? Why did He suffer readily with never a doubt? How could his Father bear to view as He hung with pain? Was there a cov’ring then He drew like sun over rain? The Savior died for me on Calvary’s hill. He loved his Father; He acknowledged pure will. The only purpose there was true charity. The sole intention then was His love for me. Why did the Savior suffer for a sinner like me? How could his off’ring open doors to let me go free? How could He be alone that day when blood ran like tears? Why would He bear this cross to say there are no more fears? The Savior suffered more than any will know, So He could be with me wherever I go. I’ll never be alone; His focus I’ll be. He’ll never leave His child, a sinner like me.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.890767 Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Arranged by Sneakwood Editions. Baroque,Classical. Score and parts. 41 pages. Sneakwood Editions #4781035. Published by Sneakwood Editions (A0.890767). Edition based on Ms. D MÜu, ms. 775Score (20 pages) and Parts (friendly performance edition): Violino principale, Violin I, Violin II, Violin III, Viola, Violoncello and Harpsichord. The Violin Concerto in A major (TWV 51:A4), which has come to light only fairly recently, does not take as its musical model the song of the nightingale (as in ‘La Bizarre’ [TWV 55:G2]) or of the goldfinch (Vivaldi), but the croaking of the common frog, also called ‘Reling’ in certain regions of Germany, whence the concerto’s subtitle. Nothing better could be expected of a composer who found inspiration even in crows and in the out-of-tune playing of village musicians! Although this concerto, which the manuscript attributes to Telemann, bears traces of his personal style, other features, such as the exceptionally high solo part, leave room for doubt. At a structurally important point in the first movement the soloist produces no more than a succession of repeated notes, ‘a-a, a-a’, which infect the other parts as well. Of course, this is the vowel that the frog croaks, given a distinctive tone-colour by use of the open A string and stopped D string. But worse is to come. In the second ritornello the orchestral violins ‘forget’ the beginning of their theme, whilst the cello inappropriately pushes its way into the foreground. The setting of the second movement (Adagio), probably a moonlit stretch of shallow water, then audibly inspires a pair of courting frogs to make sweet music together. We are given the opportunity to rejoice in their croaking offspring in the concluding Menuet and its rapid Double. This movement entirely dispenses with concertante sounds of nature and thereby betrays its origins in the suite, where it always takes its accustomed place in Telemann’s music. If we knew that a satirist was at work in this ‘Relinge’ Concerto, someone who was deliberately exhibiting all these deviations from good taste, then we could infer with some certainty that the composer is indeed Telemann. Since his own concertos ‘smack of France’ (as he puts it in his autobiography of 1718), we may most likely credit him with permitting his not at all ‘sullen old heart’ a little joke at the expense of the relevant concertos of a certain Italian composer… – Peter Huth (trans. Charles Johnston)www.snakewoodeditions.com
