By Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Leo Silva. New Age,Pop,Spiritual. Individual part. 2 pages. MP Sheet Music #788409. Published by MP Sheet Music (A0.1188793).

The Fool on the Hill was released by The Beatles in 1967 as part of the Magical Mystery Tour album, which also included All You Need Is Love and Penny Lane. The song was written and composed by Paul McCartney and is sung by him and John Lennon on the studio version. The song is about a solitary, eccentric character who stands and watches the activity of the people around him. He does not feel part of the activity that is taking place, since no one notices him or cares about what he says or does. Although people view him as a fool, the narrator says that he knows more than he speaks. It was well received by critics and was hailed as one of the best songs by The Beatles. The Fool on the Hill was praised for its message of acceptance of different people and for its unique music. It was recognized as a symbol of acceptance and tolerance, and is still remembered today as one of the band's most iconic songs.

By The Beatles. By Meredith Willson. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Jazz,Musical/Show,Rock. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #773828. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1173680).

Till There Was You is a show tune written in 1950 by Meredith Willson, originally entitled Till I Met You. It was originally recorded October 25, 1950, by Meredith Willson & his Orchestra and Eileen Wilson. The song was retitled and used in his musical play The Music Man (1957), and also appeared in the 1962 movie version. In 1959, the song became the first of four US Top 40 hits for Anita Bryant. Till There Was You was also recorded by the Beatles in 1963 and released on their second album With the Beatles (1963) (United Kingdom) and Meet the Beatles! (1964) (United States). It was the only song from a Broadway show released by the band. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. For interest and to keep the rhythm moving, we added some pretty cool left-hand fills. We hope you like what we've done with the song!

By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Contemporary,Pop. 17 pages. RayThompsonMusic #860853. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1268290).

Arranged standard wind quintet.

A Day in the Life is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as the final track of their 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Credited to Lennon–McCartney, the opening and closing sections of the song were mainly written by John Lennon, with Paul McCartney primarily contributing the song's middle section. All four Beatles played a role in shaping the final arrangement of the song.

Lennon's lyrics were mainly inspired by contemporary newspaper articles, including a report on the death of Guinness heir Tara Browne. The recording includes two passages of orchestral glissandos that were partly improvised in the avant-garde style. In the song's middle segment, McCartney recalls his younger years, which included riding the bus, smoking, and going to class. Following the second crescendo, the song ends with one of the most famous chords in music history, played on several keyboards, that sustains for over forty seconds.
My version of the crescendo for 5 instruments! has chromatic scales played in different note values, over a repeating E on bassoon...it seems to work!

The melody is taken by the clarinet, oboe and flute.

The mp3 is the end of the middle section, leading into the final verse.

The video is the complete piece.

By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Alexandra L. Uitdenbogerd. A Cappella,Multicultural,New Age,Pop,Singer/Songwriter,World. Octavo. 5 pages. Alexandra L. Uitdenbogerd #733473. Published by Alexandra L. Uitdenbogerd (A0.1133340).

SAA arrangement of Across the Universe by the Beatles with melody shared by the upper two parts until the third verse, when the lowest part takes the melody with homophonic harmonies above it. Ranges Soprano: Middle C (C4) to D5 Alto 1: G3 to C5 Alto 2: G3 to A4 Program Notes Across the Universe was a song written by John Lennon and performed by the Beatles. Lennon turned a negative reaction to Cynthia Lennon’s chatter into an inspired, positive, transcendental meditation-influenced song. It was first released on a charity album and included female backing vocals and a children’s choir. A pared back version was then released on the Beatles Let It Be album. I was inspired by but too late for the Space and Time themed RMIT Music concert, which happened to be on John Lennon’s birthday, and arranged the song for SAA voices, with the melody in an alto-friendly key, matching the CORP attendees at the time. The melody is faithful to the original recording, adds an accompanying “wah-wah†in the second verse, suggestive of the trippy guitar effect, and reinstates the female backing vocals in the third verse.
