Concert band - Grade 1 - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CBS163 Composed by Martin J. Wimmer. Score and Parts. 26 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CBS163. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CBS163). 9 x 12 in inches.March of the Shadows is a Grade 1 1/2 work for second-year elementary band. As a veteran elementary band director,I am keenly aware of what students are able to accomplish at this level. March of the Shadows is a fun, slightlychallenging, and completely achievable work. It is a work that would be useful at the beginning of the school yearwhen it feels too summery to begin holiday music. March of the Shadows would be perfect for a Halloween orAutumn Concert.March of the Shadows begins with a whistle! It calls the show by announcing each new section of the piece. (Astudy of form.) It even reacts to a momentary modulation. The whistle part has all sorts of fun staging potential, including having it played by the director! The initial whistle is followed by a percussion introduction which sets thebeat. Seven percussion parts, three of them optional, have been included so that everyone in a large percussionsection will be kept engaged and out of trouble! The body of the work includes two alternating themes, one dark andshadowy in minor, the other bright, heroic and slightly syncopated in major. Every part gets the melody at somepoint, even the low brass and woodwinds! Ranges are all standard for early second-year band players, i.e. clarinetsdo not go over the break, trumpets do not go higher than middle line B, the snare drum part is sprinkled with basicrudiments such as flams and paradiddles. Even the horn gets a crack at the tune! Every part is fun, interesting andeducational.

Choral Choir (SAB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818188 Composed by Philip Le Bas. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 11 pages. Philip Le Bas #6271973. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.818188). A short, attractive setting of Psalm 121 for three-part (SABar) choir and piano. It is written with parish choirs in mind (with their abundance of soprano and alto voices, but relative lack of male voices!), and consists of three sections. The first part presents the richly harmonised piano accompaniment in the form of a ritornello and the principal, rising melody from the choir, looking to the mountains for an answer to life's challenges and asking from where shall come my help? The second section presents short, pithy phrases sung by each voice separately expressing different ways in which God comes to their aid. The initial melody and accompaniment, repeating the first lines of the psalm, finally return in an altered form (both harmonically and melodically), and the setting ends with a celebration of confidence in the Lord who made heaven and earth.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138739 By Louise du Toit. By Louise du Toit. Arranged by Louise du Toit. Contemporary. Score. 10 pages. Louise du Toit #739041. Published by Louise du Toit (A0.1138739). Ubhejane the Rhino is the twelfth in a series of fifteen original contemporary compositions for piano, titled 15 Animal Compositions for Piano and created to musically describe the movement and habits of specific wildlife creatures. From music notes to words: Ubhejane the rhino is fuming. A born fire-fighter, he is used to stamping out small fires with his huge feet, protecting his natural surroundings from careless humans who often leave their camping sites without extinguishing the campfires. Today he picked up the infuriating scent of black smoke from a fire in nearby Umfolozi and upon reaching the camp where the blaze is rapidly growing bigger, he storms right through it, angrily snorting while extinguishing the flames on his way. After running around in beautiful Zululand, he finally comes to rest at a waterhole where he quenches his thirst among a herd of waterbucks before wallowing in a mud pit to cool off. When the wind carries the smell of a female rhinoceros towards him, he runs off again in search of some company. On top of his back sits a small parasite bird, clinging to his thick, leathery skin and listening to the grunts, snorts and snuffs of the two white rhinos as they prepare their lunch, grasping and pulling plants from the ground..

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.955857 Composed by Jacques Offenbach. Arranged by Scott S. Stewart. Concert,Opera,Romantic Period. Octavo. 11 pages. Scott S. Stewart #6476035. Published by Scott S. Stewart (A0.955857). As in The Student Prince and Faust the main character arrives at a tavern packed with students who probably should be studying, but instead they are setting the scene for the real drama… In Les Contes d’Hoffmann (The Tales of Hoffmann) a lively drinking song opens the scene at Luther’s tavern with a rowdy crowd of students teasing bartender Luther and calling for beer and wine.  Originally scored for principle cast members and 4-part men’s chorus, this arrangement of Scene IV of the Prologue: Luther’s Drinking Song ‘Drig! Drig! Drig! Drig!’ is adapted for 4-part SATB ensemble and piano accompaniment.  This exhilarating drinking chorus is a great opener for an evening of drinking songs – or an evening of light outdoor entertainment – or a recital for community engagement.  It is in original French language.  Performance time:2:40+- Bring us your beer, your wine; Fill our glass until morning! Your wine is ours!

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.894344 Composed by Scott Joplin. Arranged by Theoria Music. 20th Century,Folk,Traditional. Score. 4 pages. Theoria Music Publishing #3624287. Published by Theoria Music Publishing (A0.894344). The Entertainer is sub-titled A Rag Time Two Step, which was a form of dance popular until about 1911, and a style which was common among rags written at the time. The piece is a 1902 classic piano rag written by Scott Joplin and it was sold first as sheet music, and in the 1910s as piano rolls that would play on player pianos. The first recording was by blues and ragtime musicians, the Blue Boys in 1928, played on mandolin and guitar. Its structure is: Intro–AA–BB–A–CC–Intro2–DD.It is primarily set in the key of C major; however, for the C section (commonly referred to as the 'Trio'), it modulates to the subdominant, F major, then through a transitional passage modulates back to C major for the D section. The B section contains an indication that the melody is to be played an octave higher on the repeat. In the June 7, 1903, St. Louis Globe-Democrat, contemporary composer Monroe H. Rosenfeld described The Entertainer as the best and most euphonious of Joplin's compositions to that point. It is a jingling work of a very original character, embracing various strains of a retentive character which set the foot in spontaneous action and leave an indelible imprint on the tympanum.Suggested by the rag's dedication to James Brown and his Mandolin Club, author Rudi Blesh wrote that some of the melodies recall the pluckings and the fast tremolos of the little steel-stringed plectrum instruments. Stark issued an arrangement of the piece for two mandolins and a guitar.Wikipedia contributors, The Entertainer (rag), Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Entertainer_(rag)&oldid=916644407 (accessed September 29, 2019)Title: The EntertainerComposer: Scott JoplinYear: 1902Format: PDFSize: 8.5x11Publisher: Theoria Music PublishingWebsite: https://sheetmusicmarket.com

Small Ensemble Flute Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.908166 Composed by Conrad Kocher. Arranged by Rebecca Maughan Cook. Folk,Holiday,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Individual part. 4 pages. Rebecca Maughan Cook #3398759. Published by Rebecca Maughan Cook (A0.908166). This series of musical obligatos is designed for my flute students and people just like them - YOU!There are 4 obligatos in this set. It is in the Key of G Major, to match with hymn 92 out of the LDS hymnal. This does not imply an endorsement by the church.   The first verse (letter A ) has a harmony part that rhythmically matches up with the melody. The second verse (letter B) has a simple rhythmic gesture that goes up to high E. The third verse (letter C) is lyrical and goes up to high E. The fourth verse (letter D) goes up to a high E and is similar to Letter C but better! If you do not have an LDS hymnal, but your hymnbook has 'For the Beauty of the Earth ' in the Key of G, this should work for you.Violinists might enjoy it too. Even if you don't need to do a musical number, many flutists have a parent who can play the hymns. This lets you have a musical moment together.Practical, Pretty and Useful. Enjoy!

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1456693 By Jennifer Oleksy. By Jennifer Oleksy. New Age. Score. 3 pages. Jennifer Oleksy #1035762. Published by Jennifer Oleksy (A0.1456693). This song was inspired by Patti Callahan's novel, Once Upon a Wardrobe.  If this book had a soundtrack, this is my idea of it.  It's a story of faith - faith in finding meaning, faith in a beloved story, and faith even in the face of loss.  The song reflects the magic inherent in the stories of Narnia (Callahan's novel centers around C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia) and the hope of an ailing little boy to find out where the story comes from.  It lends emphasis to the idea that although the Narnia stories are fiction, there is indeed much to be found therein that IS real.  And as a young mathemetician surprises herself to find meaning in something not based in logic, so does the listener realize that even when we think we have found the truth of where the story begins, we are only just beginning and there is more to find.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818372 By Stephen R Dalrymple. By Stephen R Dalrymple. Arranged by Stephen R Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Sacred. 29 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #6709747. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818372). Hope of the World: 13 Feed the Flock for Slaughter original song arranged for SATB choir and piano by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ sequenced by the composer♫ music © 1999 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ recording ℗ 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ presentation © 2024 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ based on Zechariah 11, John 10, and Matthew 27♫ The Judah of Zechariah was marred by exiles who struggled greatly to obey God’s law. Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai and Malachi contain many passages that point out the sin of the people. Joshua, the current high priest, is pictured in one of Zechariah’s visions as wearing filthy apparel, desperately needing cleansing. Sheep in Bible times are grown more for their wool and milk, not so much for the slaughterhouse. Zechariah likens the leadership of Judah to shepherds and flock owners who are primarily concerned with selling meat. But there is a good shepherd who intervenes to lead the flock. He is mistreated by the owners and the shepherds and paid the price of a slave for his efforts. The good shepherd, casts the price on the floor for the potter.♫ Zechariah is looking ahead to a time when the religious leaders of Judah were short on compassion and the needs of people. Jesus called Himself the Good Shepherd. We see several parallel’s here in John 10. He called the religious leaders of His day, thieves and robbers, and predators. Judas Iscariot was paid the price of a slave to betray Jesus, which he threw to the ground, but was scooped to purchase a Potter’s Field!♫ Includes 1) full score 2) SATB choir part on 2 staves 3) full score for 10 inch tablet♫  (Tell your computer which pages you want to print.
