I remember my last visit was on the porch swing at dad and mom's  place. He was really down on himself, very dissatisfied with his life, and basically considered himself a failure. I tried to assure him that I was proud of him. After all, he stayed with mom, ran a small business, left a paid off house, always kept us fed, and even took us on some wild journeys across the country. I thought about dad after he passed and the thought came to me that even though he was down on himself, in my eyes he was a king. The rest is history. .
