Like Eve, she gives life; it’s her divine nature.
As the Garden’s pure fragrance, nurture awaits her.
And with her God she gives love like no other.
Before children are born she is ever a mother.

Like Eve, she gives life to bring forth creation,
Multiplying God’s glory, bringing salvation.
Her holy work she performs with slight slumber.
God bestows his great pow’r because she is a mother.

Like Eve, she gives life to God’s holy children.
On this path she gives rise as highest of mountains.
And as a gift she is there to lend succor,
For as with each new birth, she is named blessed mother.

Chorus:
Eden’s gift of pure love coming down from above
Reflects a selfless choice.
Bearing children or not, her calling from God
Reveals Eve’s pure mother voice.

Bells Still Are Chiming and Calling is a Handbell duet arrangement of the hymn tunes KIRKEN DEN ER ET GAMMELT HUS, often associated with the hymn text Built on the Rock, and MAGDALEN, often associated with the hymn text My Hope is Built on Nothing Less. The duet is written for 3 octaves of handbells with an optional D7.

This arrangement is dedicated to the faithful saints of churches throughout the world, particularly Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Notre Dame de Paris who continue the Lord's work even in the midst of damage and loss to their physical buildings.

Uplifting and sweet, this arrangement of The Lord’s My Shepherd, I’ll Not Want (BROTHER JAMES’ AIR) makes use of stirring crescendos and orchestral-sounding sweeping musical lines.  The quiet waters of the Psalm 23 text are reflected in the shimmering, peaceful first verse.  The second verse gains momentum (My soul He doth restore again) and the powerful crescendo into the third verse brings a confident sense of peace (Yea, though I walk in death’s dark vale / yet will I fear no ill).  At the final cadence, ethereal, unusual harmonies give way to a serene resolution, symbolizing heaven as a final resting place, calling to mind the last lines of the text: and in God’s house forevermore / my dwelling place shall be.  The optional flute part sweetens the lovely soft sections and adds flourish and weight to the majestic third verse and coda.

Forty-five years ago, on November 10, 1975 29 crew members lost their lives on the Edmund Fitzgerald sailing across Lake Superior. I took Gordon Lightfoot's beautiful song and turned it into my own piano arrangement. You will notice that the ship bell is heard throughout the song. This song is in six parts. The summon begins with the ship's bell ringing summoning everyone to gather for a story, Next is The Voyage Begins with a calm Lake Superior. The ship bell rings again announce heavy seas ahead and we are now into the next section called The Storm Begins. The bell continues to ring warning the crew of heavy waves. The next section is called The Gales of November. The intensity picks up. The bell rings with force calling for help. The next section is called The Sinking. You can hear the waves crashing into the ship as the bell continues to call for help. At the end the ship sinks as the bell continues to ring. There is one last ring as it settles on the bottom of Lake Superior. The last section is The Memorial. It is the stillness of the water after a storm with no sign of the Edmund Fitzgerald. The bell ring 29 times for each of the crew members. Enjoy.
