Mixed Percussion B-Flat Tuba,B-Flat trombone,Baritone Horn TC/Euphonium,Bass Trombone,E-Flat Cornet,E-Flat Tenor Horn,E-Flat Tuba TC,Flugelhorn,Percussion 1,Percussion 2,Tenor Trombone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1083144 Composed by David Lancaster. Classical,Contemporary. Brass Band. 141 pages. Dragon Music Publishing #687374. Published by Dragon Music Publishing (A0.1083144). Northern Line is an exciting and dramatic original work for brass band. It is a tribute to the heritage of York’s railway industry and its workers, who over many years have placed the City of York at the heart of the UK’s railway network. The music does not attempt to depict the sounds of a train journey but I confess that some of the initial ideas for the composition came from seeing the mighty ‘Flying Scotsman’ locomotive laid out in pieces during its recent restoration and – to my eyes at least - resembling a the instruments of large and somewhat bizarre percussion orchestra. Northern Line was commissioned by York Railway Institute Brass Band and first performed by that band at York Theatre Royal in October 2009, conducted by Derek Warley.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1027799 Composed by Heather Gilligan. Contemporary. Octavo. 6 pages. World Projects Corporation #2989151. Published by World Projects Corporation (A0.1027799). From the composer...The text for I'll See You in the Morning was taken from a children's book of the same name. The book, by Mike Jolley, evokes a calm, reassuring atmosphere with its warm illustrations of the moon and stars, snuggling animals, and sleeping children. I wanted to capture the same aura through the use of lush, comforting harmonies and a relaxed tempo. I also wanted to highlight the sense of deep love that a parent feels for a child, as this text does. The mother of a two-year-old myself, these feelings are somewhat self-referential.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1123447 Composed by Nathan Grocholski. Classical,Contemporary. Score and parts. 65 pages. Nathan Grocholski #724258. Published by Nathan Grocholski (A0.1123447). The basis of this piece was centered around the complex emotions of cats in which we observe in our every day lives. With regards to this piece especially, there were three cats that I based this composition on, and their names are Storm, Zany and Tremor. Each miniature is a representation of a certain type of emotion that each of these cats is known for expressing. The first movement is for my favorite cat, Storm, and is titled, “Precious Storm.†Going back to my earliest memories of writing songs, I re-translated an old tune that I used to sing into a brass quintet miniature and dedicated to him, for he is the best cat. The second miniature is titled, “Mouse on a String,†and is supposed to portray the same energy that one would see from a cat in chase of a toy mouse being constantly propelled around the air from one end of a string, which is one of Storm’s favorite things to do. The third movement is called “Zany the Scaredy-Cat,†which is exactly the type of cat that Zany is. Always fearful and skittish, Zany sneaks around the house to avoid human contact at all costs. The fourth movement is titled “You Stuck, Zany?†This is named after a short video clip in which Zany finds herself stuck in the fireplace and struggling to get out. Once she frees herself, she runs away as fast as she can. The fifth movement is called “Passive-Aggressive Tremor†for the final cat, Tremor. Tremor likes to instigate conflicts with the other cats, but once the tension arises, he backs away, which can also be heard within the intense build ups and anti-climatic drops within the music as well. Finally, the sixth movement is called, “King Tremor,†in which is the boldest sounding of all the pieces, for when it does come to conflict, it is usually Tremor who comes out on top, outsmarting the other two cats.

String Orchestra - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1435967 By Pick 'n' Mix Strings. By Traditional. Arranged by Sarah McLellan. Country,Folk,Traditional. 129 pages. Sarah McLellan #1016135. Published by Sarah McLellan (A0.1435967). This new arrangement of the much-loved traditional fiddle tune is a little gem and would be a great addition to the repertoire of any school or youth string ensemble. As with all Pick n' Mix arrangements, there are multiple part options to suit all playing levels- whether advanced players, complete beginners and all those in-between. The first half of this piece is deliberately straight-forward and will sound pleasing if you have little rehearsal time, while the second half provides the opportunity for lots of folksy double stopping fun for those wanting more of a challenge. The concept of all Pick 'n' Mix Strings arrangements is that you just choose the parts which are most suited to your players. We are absolutely NOT suggesting that you try to cover every single possible part! If you don't have any players on the more advanced parts, this doesn't matter at all. Alternatively, experienced ensembles might want all players on advanced parts. You may well use a mixture of some advanced parts and other simpler parts- or you could even have a very early beginner ensemble just using the parts for open strings and first fingers, with a teacher playing the main tune on piano for instance. There are play-along videos available on YouTube @PicknMixStrings for all Open String Parts, which we hope will be helpful for beginner players to practice along with.In addition to the regular score and parts, there are also optional versions of each part with the: STRING FINGERING written in; LETTER NAMES written in; an EXTENSION SCORE; a REDUCED SCORE; an optional PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT and an optional PIANO REDUCTION. There are tried and tested suggested BOWINGS included in all string parts. However, should any music directors wish to use alternative bowings to those printed, we can happily provide versions of the score and parts without bowing on request.

Concert Band - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.755176 Composed by Sy Brandon. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary. Score and parts. 132 pages. Sy Brandon #3409931. Published by Sy Brandon (A0.755176). This composition won Franklin and Marshall College’s wind Ensemble Composition Contest in 2001. Kakadu, Australia's ancient wilderness, comprises 8,000 square miles of the Northern Territory and boasts the longest continuous surviving human cultures in the world. Aborigines have been living in this region for at least 40,000 years. The region also contains abundant wild life. It is a land of varied extremes that creates a constant cycle of destruction and renewal. The composition is loosely programmatic. It does not depict the six seasons sequentially nor does it depict the six seasons with specific thematic material. The composition does attempt to capture both the primitiveness and beauty of this ancient wilderness and the cycles of its seasons, each with its own uniqueness and its challenge for the sustaining of life. The score prints on legal size paper and the parts on letter.

Bells,Handbell,Handchime,Piano Accompaniment - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1358804 By Sharon Wilson. By Robert Lowry. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. 19th Century,Children,Christian,Romantic Period,Sacred. 12 pages. Sharon Wilson #943265. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.1358804). This arrangement is one of the 10 songs in the collection Joybells Ringing Songs of Praise (Collection of 10 Hymns for One Octave Handbell Choir with Piano). This sheet music is arranged for a one octave, 8-note diatonic scale Handbell choir with Piano accompaniment. The piano provides an introduction then the Handbells play the melody and occasional 2-part harmony. An optional repeat and second ending is included for playing additional verses.Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instruments (Handbells and Piano) on a grand staff plus two separate scores for the Handbells (one score in standard format with black and white notes and the second score with color-coded notes).  Lyrics are provided on the Handbell staff.A color-coded note chart is provided showing the Handbell notes used for this arrangement as well as the number of times each note is played.  The note distribution is helpful when assigning notes to ringers. You may want to assign fewer notes to beginners or evenly distribute the bells between all ringers. On the color-coded score, only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are full color and easier to distinguish (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. Note assignment suggestions are provided. As noted above, one of the Handbell scores is color-coded for easier note reading for beginning ringers.  This separate color-coded score uses the Chroma-Notes™ Colored Music System.  If you have a set of Handbells with a different color scheme, Chroma-Notes Stick Ons can be purchased and applied so the Handbells match this color scheme. Permission is granted to make as many copies as needed for one family, church, school, or other performing group. Please purchase additional copies for multiple groups or organizations.Visit Sharon Wilson's website: https://www.SharonWilsonMusic.com/Subscribe to her YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/@SharonWilsonMusic

French Horn Quartet Horn - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1470856 By Judy Garland. By E.Y. Yip Harburg and Harold Arlen. Arranged by Mary Clark. Broadway,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Standards. 10 pages. Second Wind Music #1048481.
