Violin Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1017149 Composed by James F. Babcock. Contemporary. 15 pages. James Babcock #6350285. Published by James Babcock (A0.1017149). FROM CHILDHOOD – Violin part only. 15 pgs. (Piano accomp. 35 pgs. Sold separately. ) Four easy to Intermediate violin solos for instruction and performance. With piano accompaniments.  Each of the four pieces is available separately on SMP.   (1) MARGARET DANCING.  (SO.      ) Like a Beethoven song and country dance, this piece offers pleasing melodies for the beginner who is well along, both to study and to perform in recital.   (2) MUSICBOX. (SO.      )  This short easy piece imitates the sound of a music box, including its running down at the end.  For instruction it can serve to introduce the student to light staccato bowing or up and down slurred staccato bowing.  For performance it can serve as an amusing interlude.   (3) HYMNSONG. (SO.      )  In the form of an etude, this piece consists of a simple theme with numerous variations, somewhat like Paganini’s famous Caprice 24.  Of intermediate difficulty, it offers double stops, tremolo, and various bowings. For performance it can be played as is or it can easily be shortened by omission of one or more passages.   (4) MOTHER’S STORIES.  (SO.      ) Varying from sweet to dramatic, this simple composition offers an opportunity for emotional interpretation. Intermediate from that standpoint, It is otherwise basically easy. A nice recital piece. Your compositions are charming and melodic, useful both for training and performance.-Thomas Lindsay, former concertmaster, Virginia Beach Symphony and New Jersey Pops.

Large Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Bass Guitar,Clarinet,Drums,Flute,Piano,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.876455 Composed by Joe Procopio. Dance,Jazz,Pop. Score and parts. 82 pages. JoeCopio Music LLC #53355. Published by JoeCopio Music LLC (A0.876455). PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES - PART 2 Back to School 2015 From A Collection Of Six Dances As Combo Music EMMA’S BLUES JOEY’S READY WILSON’S BOOGIE WOOGIE PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES PART 2 is a collection of 3 Dances as combo music composed and arranged by Joe Procopio for a small ensemble, band, stage band or combo with flexible instrumentation. These works may be performed with only two Saxes (Alto Sax I and Alto Sax II) and a standard backup with Piano/Keyboard, Guitar, Bass and Drums. In addition, any combo may be augmented by adding any or all of the parts included for Flute, Clarinet, Tenor Sax, and Baritone Sax. This flexible or variable instrumentation of the dances makes them unique and perfect for schools and colleges that do not have a permanent roster of music students entering their music programs annually. It also eases the burden for Directors searching for good music to perform for groups with ever changing numbers of music students. What’s more, each dance has a section open for solos to enable the ensemble to feature players who can improvise well enhancing not only the group’s enjoyment but also everyone’s listening pleasure. These works have been performed by College and High School students in many major concert events along the East Coast with great success. They are published separately and in sets PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES Part 1 and PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES Part 2 with each Part containing 3 Dances. I have adapted the audio here for synthesizer so that they may be previewed. The works are named and dedicated to each of my 6 Grandchildren: Lilly, Mary, Lydia, Emma, Joey and Wilson. Mariachi Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1405367 Composed by traditional Mexican Folk Dance. Arranged by Donald Jay Smith. Mariachi. Mariachi Band. 18 pages. Donald Jay Smith Music #988411. Published by Donald Jay Smith Music (A0.1405367). This is from a collection of pieces I originally arranged for my Middle School Mariachi Band at Curtis Corner Middle School in Wakefield, Rhode Island. Since that time, I have used these arrangements with all ages through college, pros, and especially two families that happened to have the correct instrumentation between the parents and their children. At the middle school, the strings were more advanced than the trumpets and I needed to deal with young string players only being familiar playing sharp keys and brass players only being familiar with flat keys. My solution for one of the first arrangements was in â??Mexican Hat Danceâ?. I assigned the violins two simple double stops (their first double stops: one finger in low first position while bowing both the A and E string-the first finger on the E string is an F chord and first finger on the A string is a C7 chord). I split the four songs, two in flat keys two in sharp keys. The trumpets were assigned several unfamiliar pitches in the sharp keys like G#, but with plenty of repetition and not technically challenging figures except in the bridge of â??Mexican Hat Danceâ?. I intended to cover that part of the song on my trumpet, but the trumpets always rose up and nailed it!The set we usually played included: â??La Cucarachaâ?, â??Cielito Lindoâ?, â??De Coloresâ?, and â??Mexican Hat Danceâ?, all available here.
