Small Ensemble Flute,Orff Instrument,Soprano Recorder - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.898946 Composed by James Pierpont. Arranged by Deborah Sutin Fitts. Children,Christmas,Instructional,Standards. Score and parts. 1 pages. Deborah Sutin Fitts #3690399. Published by Deborah Sutin Fitts (A0.898946). All kids want to play Jingle Bells and learning it should not add to the stress of the Holidays!  I designed this for a thrid grade classroom that needed to learn it in two weeks.  Even kids that only get classroom music once a week, can take this home and play for Mom and Dad.   Make this the first song they really play by themselves! This reproducible one page version of the famous chorus by James Pierpont has large-note Alpha-Note printing, is in the key of G and starts on B.   For recorders this means fingering with only one hand, it is also usable for school xylophone and Orff instruments, keyboards, flutes, (although a beginning flutist would have to go over the break for notes C and D).    If you would like to contact me for a transposition to another instrument, I can be reached at Sunshinenotes@Gmail.com.   I am entering this in the 2018 Holliday Arranging Contest because I believe that simplicity is sometimes exactly what is needed.

Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.947278 Composed by John Philips. Jazz. Score and parts. 18 pages. John Philips Music Service #3867729. Published by John Philips Music Service (A0.947278). This is an alto sax feature ballad. The melody is full and rich and could make you think of Johnny Hodges. First bridge is alto 1 & 2 in unison...with solo alto out front and alto 2 in section it gets a nice echo effect--Last 8 back to alto 1 solo. First half of second chorus has a band within a band over background. Solo part has a few notes past an eighth.Last bridge trombones then alto solo last 8. Ending is very dramatic with some interesting alto work..the very last note is held over the band....like Harlem Nocturne. Not too fast.Don’t let the last note scare you, look at your fingering chart or play it 8va lower. If you want a Maynard or Buddy chart, look elsewhere. This series of charts uses nothing more complicated than eighth notes, are not frantic or screamers, extreme ranges and are hemi-demi-semi-quaver free. They depend on intonation and the players being not intimidated by what he is asked to play. There is no contest to see how high you can go before you need oxygen , how many notes you can play in 9 seconds or before your bell overheats , or how long it takes the audience to cover their earsRelaxed and confident players always play more in tune. Good harmonies, lines and realistic rhythm patterns will produce a good result that will swing and be enjoyed by player and listener alike.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1289652 Composed by Erik Satie. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century. 8 pages. RayThompsonMusic #880358. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1289652). Sports et divertissements (Sports and Pastimes) is a cycle of 21 short piano pieces composed in 1914 by Erik Satie. The set consists of a prefatory chorale and 20 musical vignettes depicting various sports and leisure activities. First published in 1923, it has long been considered one of his finest achievements.Musically it represents the peak of Satie's humoristic piano suites (1912-1915), but stands apart from that series in its fusion of several different art forms. Sports originally appeared as a collector's album with illustrations by Charles Martin, accompanied by music, prose poetry and calligraphy. The latter three were provided by Satie in his exquisite handwritten scores, which were printed in facsimile. This is my arrangement for wind quintet of:8. Le Yachting (Yachting) - Modéré (Moderately.) (In half-notes, bass octaves). Legato. Allez me chercher une voiture.A stern ostinato in the lower reaches of the piano summons up a wind-blown sea as it tosses about members of a yachting party.A pretty lady passenger is not amused by the rough weather. I'd rather do something else, she pouts. Go fetch me a car. The sea ostinato returns to end the piece.Arranged standard wind quintetCheck out my other Satie arrangements3 Gymnopédies and 3 Gnossiennes. ( sold separately and as collections). Also: Rag-Time du Pacquebot (Ragtime of the Steampacket) and Sonatina Bureaucratique.
