The accompaniment is such a vital part of the style of learning in the 8 volumes of Collections available separately each for Violin, Viola, Cello and some for Double Bass. In the Zoo and Quaviary Collections the music is based on animal themes depicting the characteristics of the animals. There are words to go with a couple of the Quaviary Collection pieces which helps students feel the idea of playing quavers. For further details, describing the learning stages for the students in each Collection, please refer to the description for each of the pupils' books found on this site. The Glossary in Volume 9 provides an overview of the 8 other collections. There is a summary of the learning points in the pupils' books at the beginning of each Collection. This is the second album that I have released and it is another soft piano album. Ever since I published my first album ‘Sunday’ I have been wanting to write another one because I enjoyed writing the first one so much. I wanted to write even better pieces than the first one as well as a couple more pieces too. When thinking about a theme for this album, I decided to go for the season of summer and write music that reminds me of summer such as the warm breeze, the fragrance of the trees and flowers, and the sparkle of the sun on the water.In a lot of the pieces in this album, I explored the line between the ambient and melodic world with some pieces featuring a strong melody while others cycle through a chord progression in a certain pattern. This is something that I like to explore in a lot of my music as I think a melody is a great way to make a piece of music memorable but I also find that less melodically driven pieces still have their place in telling a story or setting a mood.So, if you are listening to this album or learning it, I hope that you find each piece enjoyable and that there is one that sticks out to you as your favourite. My intention is for you to listen to them while you drive, study, work, or have a rest or do anything else to make those moments a little more enjoyable and special. I Will Look After You – Aron Wright This haunting little melody was made famous in the UK by virtue of its use in a TV ad for a well-known bank featuring a black horse and its foal. My arrangement for string quartet is a little shorter than the original, lasting two and a half minutes, with the melody being passed amongst the upper strings. None of the parts go beyond 4th position (with the exception of harmonics), making it suitable for early intermediate ensembles. Some close harmonies make good intonation essential. There is also rhythmic interest in the syncopated vocal line. An absolute must-have in the Wedding Album of any String Quartet and sure to become a wedding classic. Note from the arranger: All my arrangements for strings are conceived specifically with the aim of writing interesting parts for all players. Most parts do not go beyond 4th position, making them suitable for student and mixed ability groups. A complete score and set of individual parts (violin, violin 2, viola, ‘cello) is included. This song is a theme song for a very popular Japanese Drama 101st Marriage Proposal 『101回目�プロ�ーズ� in 1991. Several dotted rhythmic patterns are added to reflect the lilting of the singing. This increases the complexity of the music. The piece ends on an E chord after the final arpeggio . In the recording the final section of Chopin's E major etude is played but this part of the music is not included in this score. This etude is heard in the drama as well. Hence, they go well together. For fans of Chage Aska, this this arrangement will make a wonderful performance for public and personal enjoyment.
