My friend Maestro encourages directors to work on the steady rhythm at a slower metronome reading, around 60 bpm, and working up to 90 bpm. The fermatas should be held for two beats, and there's only one measure that contains any eighth notes. If your players can count, they've got this in a couple of rehearsals, just in time for a Thanksgiving service.
