Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.996625 Composed by Martin Jeremy Richardson. Contemporary,World. Score. 44 pages. M J Richardson #5307647. Published by M J Richardson (A0.996625). This collection of seven songs is inspired by Spanish folk and flamenco music. Each song is representative of a different style or genre, including dances, romances, work, and religious and songs. Spain has a long history of folk music dating back to the Middle Ages; a tradition that is still very much alive today. The music has been influenced by many different cultures over the centuries and has been the inspiration for musicians across the world.Songs1.Sevillanas are a type of folk song and associated dance for couples, originating in the nineteenth century. Today they are still very popular, particularly at fiestas and  other social events.2.Cabaliño is a Galician work song about a young horse, arranged in the style of a flamenco tango.3. La Petenera is  a combination of two songs in very different styles - a flamenco Petenera from Andalucía and a Mexican son huasteco, a genre that is noteworthy for its flamboyant and virtuoso violin parts.4. Saetas are religious songs that are performed at Easter (Semana Santa).5.There are many hundreds of versions of the old folk tale Gerineldo, telling the story of love between a Queen and her page boy. This Spanish/Jewish version is over 500 years old, from the time when the Moors ruled over much of the Iberian Peninsula.6.Villancico Asturiano is a traditional Christmas carol from Asturias, combined with a setting of a Christmas poem written in the seventeenth century by Robert Herrick for King Charles II of England.7.The lyrics from La Tarara are drawn from the poem of the same name by the Spanish poet Federico Lorca, who based his poem on a traditional children´s playground song. La Tarara is a mystical woman who dances around the countryside.  The music in this version is in the style of a Tanguillo – a type of flamenco dance from Cadiz.

Brass Quintet Baritone Horn TC,Bass Trombone,Cornet,Euphonium,Flugelhorn,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1239586 Composed by Johannes Brahms. Arranged by Rob Bushnell. 19th Century,Classical,Folk,Romantic Period,Traditional. 151 pages. RBMusic #834944. Published by RBMusic (A0.1239586). The Hungarian Dances are some of Brahms’s most famous works. Completed in 1879, they were originally written for piano duet (one piano, four hands) and were very lucrative to him. Brahms published the dances in 4 books.Only 3 of the 21 lively dances are entirely original compositions (numbers 11, 14 and 16). Dance number 1 is believed to be from the Divine Csárdás by the Hungarian composer and conductor Miska Borzó; number 5 was based on a composition by the Hungarian composer Béla Kéler, specifically the csárdás Bártfai emlék (Memories of Bártfa). In the case of the latter, it is thought the Brahms mistook this work for a traditional folksong. This arrangement includes alternative parts for tenor horn, treble-clef trombone/euphonium and tuba. Apart from dance number 5, these arrangements are in the original key; number 5 has been lowered by a semitone. A recording for piano duet can be found on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJS0pHvDX4c.Other searchable terms: Johannes Brahms, Hungary, Traditional, 1869, G minor, Allegro molto, D minor, Vivace, F major, Allegretto, F minor, Poco sostenuto, F-sharp minor, F# minor, Allegro.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1485608 Composed by Joseph Martin Kraus. Arranged by Bertil van Boer. Classical. Score. 52 pages. Artaria Editions #1062673. Published by Artaria Editions (A0.1485608). The dates of the two sonatas is not known, although it is clear stylistically that the E major is a much more advanced work compositionally than the E-flat major. The latter also exists in a version as a sonata for violin and keyboard, which can be dated to Kraus's grand tour, having been written in Paris in 1785 and subsequently distributed by the Viennese publisher Johann Traeg. Since there are substantive differences in the two versions, it is impossible to say which came first, and Hans Eppstein has suggested that their may even have been a third, now lost original for fortepiano, since the extant solo keyboard version clearly represents a more advanced version. This cannot be proven, but it seems clear that the version presented here can be considered Kraus's last word in this tortuous compositional trail, probably receiving its final form for publication as part of the Due Sonata per il Forte Piano that hlstrm published about 1788 as one of the first editions stemming from his new privilege. Given that the E major work is one of considerable complexity and virtuosity, it is probable that this sonata at least was composed especially for the publication. In any case, hlstrm's edition is the earliest source of the works; a number of additional copies dating from about 1795 and later all can be traced back to it. That the composer himself was involved intimately with the edition can be seen by the unusual number of clear and precise markings and articulations. These have been accepted without comment or alteration. Occasional obvious wrong notes, the result of overlooked proof reading, have been tacitly corrected, and some of the slurrings have been regularized according to parallel passages where such do not appear to have been deliberately varied. It is the suggestion of the editor that the Adagio of the E majot sonata should be performed la C.P.E.Bach in a fantasia manner with considerable flexibility in terms of tempo and relative rhythm; to play it in a strict fashion obliviates the flow of the movement. It is the second film of Leone's unofficial Once Upon a Time Trilogy, which includes the previous Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) and the subsequent Once Upon a Time in America (1984). The musical score for Giù la testa (Duck, You Sucker!) was composed by Ennio Morricone, who collaborated with Leone in all his previous projects as a director with the exception of his debut, The Colossus of Rhodes. The insistent repetition of the vocal theme Sean Sean with the addition of the melodic vocalization of Edda Dell'Orso make the song unmistakable and well known, with Morricone mixing whistles, unusual instruments, ethereal female voices, objects and noises to enrich the possibilities of cinema music.Subscribe to my YouTube Channel to stay updated on new releases.

Jazz rock - classic - music history. Downloadable. Op. Vol. 2. Schott Music - Digital #Q25583. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q25583). 14 famous themes from music history, from Bach to Offenbach, each with its own jazzy interpretation - just as in Vol. 1. This edition shows that 'classical music' and jazz are not that distant from one another after all. Just imagine Grieg's Piano Concerto played on a bandoneon - and you have got the perfect tango! Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 1 is also ideal as a salsa ('Hungarian Salsa No.1'). Schubert's trout suffers a terrible fate, here it may continue to live in a lively ragtime ('Fish Rag'). With Mozart, the night is merry and friendly. but 'A Black Night Music' shows its dark side.

It reiterates what was expressed in the previous compositions of this class, that: Although it may seem like it, it is not about emulating the great Juan Sebastián Bach, rather when composing in this style an eternal tribute of gratitude and admiration is paid for the majesty and perfection of his work, as many musicians have done in the world through history...

Organ - advanced to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q11640 Transcribed from Piano Works by Johannes Geffert. Composed by Franz Liszt. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Schott Music - Digital #Q11640. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q11640). Liszt's works for organ are highlights of the virtuoso Romantic organ literature. This is why many organists will probably welcome the fact that a series of transcriptions based on piano works are added to the rather small Liszt repertoire. Johannes Geffert, professor of artistic organ playing at the Music Academy of Cologne, has chosen works that fit in well with church organ concerts: 'Bénédiction de Dieu dans la solitude' (from 'Harmonies poétiques et religieuses'), Legend No. 1 'St. François d'Assise - La prédication aux oiseaux', 'Sancta Dorothea' (1877), 'In Festo Transfigurationis Domini nostri Jesu Christ' (1880) and 'Vallée d'Obermann' (from 'Années de Pèlerinage'). All transcriptions are as close and faithful to the original piano version as possible. Interesting addition to the repertoire in good time for the Liszt Year 2011.

German • English. To occupy the post of municipal music director, Schumann came to Düsseldorf on the Rhine in 1850, and it was probably the impressions of the Rhineland that inspired the composer to write his Symphony No. 3. In a letter to the publisher Simrock, Schumann himself wrote that the peculiarities of Rhenish life had found expression in the work. To Schumann, the view of the Cathedral of Cologne was a highlight of his trips in the area surrounding Düsseldorf; even if there are no records testifying to his attending a church service, it almost seems as if the impressions of such a service are reflected in the fourth movement of the symphony which was originally entitled 'In the Character of the Accompaniment to a Solemn Ceremony'.
