Claus Woschenko: Plön Water Music for chamber orchestra (with solo soprano ad lib.)
My Plön Water Music was commissioned by the Plön Symphony Orchestra. In it, I describe the lakes that lie around the small northern German town of Plön in a total of 5 very varied movements. The work was premiered with great success on May 20, 2022 in the Plön Nikolai Church by the Plön Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Shenoll Tokaj. The soprano solo was sung by Eva Monar.
In this edition a full score and all orchestral parts are included.

Meine Plöner Wassermusik ist ein Auftragswerk des Symphonischen Orchesters Plön. The beautifully ornate late-Gothic St. Michael's church in the Austrian lake-side town of Mondsee was used to film the wedding scene in the Sound of Music. After a solemn, grandiose organ introduction, the church choir sings the happily tripping tune with the words How do you solve a problem like Maria? which, oddly enough, fits the joyous occasion perfectly. This happily striding arrangement for string ensemble will make any wedding brighter. The file includes the full score and all five parts.

Smally Haven is the fifth guitar solo in the St. Croix River Sketches. Driving north through the Chisago Lakes area we arrive at Wild River State Park and the tiny town of Sunrise. Paddling down river past the entrance of the Sunrise River we locate a fishing hole where the small mouth bass are hitting. Smally Haven gives an impression of the fun and excitement of pulling in small mouth bass while floating down the river in a canoe.
