Elizabeth Essex #899121. Published by Elizabeth Essex (A0.1309996). Students of any age will recognize the melodies in My Favorite Songs on the Black Keys and will want to sing along!Ideal for young beginners who can differentiate fingers and know their numbers, this first book in the series, Part A, contains only songs playable with one hand on one set three black keys. Each song is arranged in finger number notation for right and for left hand. The left-hand notes are colored red as well as turned stem down to assist in differentiating right and left-hand notes. When printed double-sided, the left hand page is on the left side and the right hand page is on the right side. I recommend learning these songs in the order given, singing the songs first, then sight reading. Try memorizing each song and try playing them hands together too!As an added bonus, some helpful worksheets are in the back of the book.Table of Contents:Hot Cross Buns – LH Hot Cross Buns – RHRain is Falling Down – LH Rain is Falling Down – RHThe Closet Key – LH The Closet Key – RHMary had a Little Lamb – LH Mary had a Little Lamb – RHPease Porridge – LH Pease Porridge – RHDown by the Station – LH Down by the Station – RHGently Sleep – LH Gently Sleep – RHThe Long-legged Sailor – LH The Long-legged Sailor – RHPiano Finger Numbers 1Piano Finger Numbers 2Draw Quarter NotesDraw Half NotesSong-writing Exercise: Opus 1 See my other arrangements:Sheet Music Press (copyrighted music available)https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/elizabeth-essex-sheet-music/3018847Sheet Music Direct (copyrighted music available)https://www.sheetmusicdirect.com/en-US/Search.aspx?query=Elizabeth%20EssexTop Music Marketplace (piano studio licenses available)https://topmusicmarketplace.com/pages/seller-profile/elizabeths-music-artsTeachers Pay Teachers (classroom licenses available)https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Elizabeths-Music-And-ArtsTo commission an arrangement or set up Zoom piano or art lessons, contact Elizabeth: https://elizabethmusicnarts.wordpress.comm.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1076950 Composed by Sergey Beltiukov. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 26 pages. BFG Publishing LLP #681075. Published by BFG Publishing LLP (A0.1076950). The piano suite «Fairytales for Mathilde» was written in 2004 and is based on the themes of the fairytales by the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875). The suite is dedicated to Mathilde Hoogland on her birthday. It was presented for the first time on November 2004 in the Concert Hall «Mosterdzaadje» (The Netherlands) by Olga Beltiukova. It was also performed at the «E. Alterman International Competition for Young Pianists» (October 2005, Minsk, Belarus). Each of the 5 pieces refers to the original title and its unique character. Melodic freshness, lightness and elegance sparkle through. Technically speaking they are rather comfortable to play; the musical material is transparent in most cases, sometimes calling for a prevailing “glassy†resonance in the high register, which is very typical for the composer. Elizabeth Mikhadyuk decorates the music scores beautifully, with an artistry based on uncommon musical and emotional intelligence.

Large Ensemble Bass Guitar,Cello,Flute,Maracas,Piano,Triangle,Trombone,Voice,Woodblock - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1518277 By Rebekah M. Sweet. By Rebekah M. Sweet. Arranged by Rebekah M. Sweet. 20th Century,Classical,Folk,New Age,Traditional. 14 pages. Rebekah M. Sweet #1092376. Published by Rebekah M. Sweet (A0.1518277). “The Crow”Score and Instrumentation Explanations “The Crow,” is an Avant Garde piece that plays on musical timbres of instruments to represent sounds, feelings, and animals. Flute-represents a bird’s call.Trombone-carries the sound and theme of the crow throughout the piece.Triangle-is the soft sound of noises in the woods, that are so low that they are often not heard.Maracas-represents the rattlesnake’s rattle when he is disturbed and angry.Wood Blocks-represent the sound of the woodpecker.Bass Guitar-is the background of the piece and sometimes the edgy feeling one gets when walking in (what they thought) was an empty forest.Piano-is the crow’s call.Tenor Voice-is meant to represent a cry in the forest but is only included twice in the piece.Cello-Is also the background music but gives one the feeling of coldness creeping upon them. The piece is meant to be slow, and eerie; maybe to some it sounds spacey. The glissandos for the Bass Guitar are to be played when the guitarist hits the first note and uses a glass cup against the string and slowly move it up and down the string to make a weird vibrato like sound. The glissandos for the Trombone are mainly the echoes of the forest that surround the person. It’s the crow’s call being echoed. The Piano can play with the crow’s call starting out loud then fading or diminishing as it also echoes in the distance. Not to be played too fast. The Flute can get louder as it repeats its lines. The Triangle is soft but not too soft. It must be able to be heard against the other instruments. The Cello may use as much vibrato or screech sounds as it wants with the use of the bow.The Tenor may use as much legato as they want.

Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1136040 By Budapest Scoring. By King Henry VIII (attrib.). Arranged by David Warin Solomons. Classical,Contemporary. Full Performance. Duration 144. David Warin Solomons #736065. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1136040). Hélas madame is attributed to King Henry VIII. It is part of a secular collection, found on a manuscript that was used in Henry's court. The originality of the song has been questioned, with various parts of the song allegedly taken from similar pieces in Europe. The song itself is a courtship conversation in Middle French between a man and woman. Alas my lady, whom I do so love: Suffer me to be your humble servant; Your humble servant I shall always be. And while I live, I'll love none else but you. Alas, fair sir, you are good and kind, Wise and courteous and from a noble house, And as good as one could find, But I can't forget the one I love. Alas my lady, think upon your case: Between us two, no need for advocate. Certainly not, and you know it well. Be gone, for you are doing nothing. My heart sighs and tenderly complains, When it cannot find relief. I know not how it wants me to woo; If it is so, I'll go wooing elsewhere. Alas my lady, and shall I not? Certainly, fair sir, I have not said so. Behave rightly and you will be rewarded. Alas my lady, from my whole heart, thank you. Performed by Anita Szabó Ildikó Szabady Iza Nagy Boglárka Dávid.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1402264 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ciro Hernández. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Opera,Religious. 14 pages. Ciro Hernández #985471. Published by Ciro Hernández (A0.1402264). Original work for orchestra, I have reduced all the parts for string quartet. I have shortened the instrumental part of the beginning of the tenor recitative, starting it five measures earlier. Then I introduced the harmonic part of the winds by filling in the measures that these instruments played. In the audio it sounds a piano that plays practically the same as the strings. This score was played this way because the singers could only rehearse once with the quartet, so it gave them more security to hear the sound of the piano, to which the singers are more accustomed. The traditional piano part can therefore be used with this arrangement since neither the structure nor the key has been changed.

Violin Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1022489 Composed by Jacob Litoff. World. 2 pages. Jacob Litoff #2013711. Published by Jacob Litoff (A0.1022489). I wrote this piece as I was trying to figure out all the harmonics on the violin on a hot day in June 1999. The first section represents all the cars that I heard in the morning rush hour on their way to work on that hot summer day driving up route 1, route 1A, and route 95. Section A represents all those people busy at work in the morning trying to turn the world upside down. First the melody is right side up, then it is upside down. They're in air conditioned buildings of course! Then the opening section gets played once again, this time representing everyone going out in the hot weather for lunch and to do a few errands as fast as possible. Next comes section B. If one wants to leave out the bottom harmonic at the beginning of the measures 1, 2, & 3, in lines 1, 3 and 4, that makes it a little easier, but it is nice when both notes can be played. This section is work after lunch. It is supposed to go a little slower, for everyone is getting bogged down with to many assignments and they're starting to get exhausted. Then comes the opening section one last time. This time it is rush hour on the way home, and all the errands that must be done, like taking kids to soccer practice, ballet , tap dancing and violin lessons(or whatever) and trying to fix dinner or grab a pizza somewhere in there. Just before getting to the end of the section this time at the sign jump to the coda, and here it can slow down just a little for this is one collapsing at the end of the day when everything is over.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1207795 By Metallica. By Ennio Morricone. Arranged by Alex Lewis. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Film/TV. Score. 7 pages. Houston-Piano Studio #805913. Published by Houston-Piano Studio (A0.1207795). The Ecstasy of Gold was composed by Ennio Morricone. This is an arrangement by Alex Lewis. The music starts off with the original theme of the piece. Then it gradually transitions from that to original chords and melodies. The next part serves as an oasis before the final part of this arrangement. The tempo is slower and music is more melodic. Finally, the last part is a flurry of notes bringing in the original theme one more time in the form of sixteenth notes, followed by a coda in F. This is very much a journey from beginning to end. If you decide to purchase this sheet music, Mr. Lewis hope that you'll have as much fun learning and playing this as he had.

Instrumental Duet,Keyboard - Digital Download SKU: A0.1497843 Composed by Jenni Roditi. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary. 12 pages. Jenni Roditi #1074255. Published by Jenni Roditi (A0.1497843). Piano Duo - 2 pianos, 4 hands. Surrender, Between the Octaves was the piece that was composed first in the suite. It exposes a simple call to return to the beginning, to return to a pure act of listening. This note..ah, now that note.. oh. This is how the piece was written - one note at a time. Listening from within a space (its original title) of resonance, of edges and meetings, of disappearances and repetitions that reflect on this gentle body of notes. There is a slow hearing that may, or may not create a tone-journey.Names of all the movements in the suite Between the Octaves in the right order are Initiate, Surrender, Thread, Curve, Encircle, Ritualise, Ignite. The whole suite follows a long line from movement 1 to movement 7. However, individual pieces are well suited to be played alone too. Piano Duo is ideally two Steinway grands, otherwise, whatever is available. An enjoyment of the tensions and relationships generated between the two instruments: grand-upright, upright-electronic keyboard is to be explored as a positive. Each piece creates its own world in the suite and can be part of smaller subgroups taken from the suite, in any combination, but the order of the pieces needs to be maintained if more than one is played. Here is a taste of the background to the musical world of this 53 minute compositional suite. During a reflective time I read the following: The whole philosophy of dharma art (Buddhist art) is that you don't try to be artistic, but you just approach objects as they are, and the message comes through automatically. (Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, from 'True Perception The Path of Dharma Art.' Shambhala 2008, p.133.) The 'objects as they are' became the 'octaves as they are'. As the pieces were composed the octaves had a centring and clarifying role that allowed other material to circulate around or play against them. They acted as pivots, repetitions, drones, ostinati, pointillist nodes, pedals, melodic features, struts, harmonic turnpikes, breathing spaces, bass lines: musical imperatives. The octaves called the musical shots most of the time. When the music pulled a semitone up or down and away from the octaves (as it did quite often) it was especially telling in the context of the ringing spaces the octaves were creating. I became interested in the subtle dislocation that two pianos could provide. By dislocation I mean a degree of tension between the natural acoustics of the two instruments in the room and the players idiosyncrasies as musicians.  The whole point of this work was to examine the nature of my syntax, grammar, and compositional thinking. The title demanded one thing above all: what notes am I going to use between these octaves?? My choice of notes was derived in most instances from the tempo, pitch, and rhythm of the initial octaves at the beginning of each piece alongside the individual word titles that I set out to explore as musical images. The audio was developed from Sibelius software, via MIDI to Logic samples of a Steinway grand piano.
