He toured nationally and internationally, playing classical music for Mikhail Baryshnikov; jazz fusion with The John Payne Band; Latin music with Pucho and his Latin Soul Brothers; pop music with Rupert Pina Colada Song Holmes; and rock & roll with John Hall, opening for Little Feat. Louis began playing the piano by ear at 4 years old and began lessons at 5. As a teenager, he played guitar and keyboard in bands and went on to study music at Stony Brook University, Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music. For the past 32 years, through his production company, Landon Music Company, Louis has written and produced music for film, video, and commercials. He recorded his first original album, Love Songs & Jazz, in 1994 and has since released 41 Albums/CDs, on the LCI Record label. 34 of those albums/CDs are solo piano releases. His latest album, entitled It's a Good Life, was released on September 17, 2021. He has just finished up his third Christmas album which is due out in November, 2021. This intermediate piano arrangement uses the A and B sections of the dance, and is fun to play.

It is a prayer for help in the midst of difficulty and sin, waiting for God with hope in his compassion and forgiveness. Its tempo marking of soulful, but rhythmic highlights the character of the weary, bluesey theme in B flat minor and its falling chromatic accompaniment. However, there are signs of hope throughout the setting, and the last verse mixes its principal key of G major with the original rise and fall of the minor third interval (G to B flat). The melody is derived from Russian composer Ippolitov-Ivanov's Caucasian Sketches, Suite No. 1, Op. 10, Movement 4. In these variations, the opening eight-bar theme provided the inspiration for the work. Armenians identify with the theme as a patriotic song Zeitountsiner or Arevn Yelav, Zeitountsiner (The sun rose, people of Zeitoun). In this arrangement for piano, the five variations in D major are a step lower, suited for the intermediate player. The original key for orchestra is E major. Techniques of motivic development include changes in: style, tonality, harmonization, meter (5/4) and tempo.
