Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.584579 By James Taylor. By James Taylor. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Rock. 23 pages. Jeff Tincher #5891625. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.584579). This is a great song by James Taylor written in 1975 that is so appropriate today. In the original key, this song kicks off his In the Pocket project. This arrangement came from a live concert performance at the Beacon Theatre mainly because Arnold McCuller's descant is legendary. This arrangement includes that descant. Duration = 4:34. String Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.890766 Composed by Antonio Vivaldi. Arranged by Sneakwood Editions. Baroque,Classical. Score and parts. 34 pages. Sneakwood Editions #4781033. Published by Sneakwood Editions (A0.890766). Vivaldi’s violin concerto in D major, RV 208, survives in three manuscripts:Vivaldi’s autograph score, conserved in Turin. [This edition is based on this source]A copy of the parts, conserved in the Landesbibliothek Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Günther Uecker [de] in Schwerin.Another copy of the parts conserved in Cividale del Friuli. The Grosso Mogul title appears on the Schwerin manuscript, which was written before 1717. According to Michael Talbot, the name of the concerto can possibly be linked to Domenico Lalli’s Il gran Mogol opera libretto, a setting of which had been presented in Naples in 1713. Later settings of this libretto include Giovanni Porta’s, staged in Venice in 1717, and Vivaldi’s RV 697 (1730).The Schwerin and Cividale del Friuli copies of the concerto contain two variants of extended cadenzas for unaccompanied violin, in the first and last movements of the concerto. The autograph version indicates where such cadenzas can be inserted in these movements, but does not contain the cadenzas. A manuscript with the written-out cadenzas must have been circulating before c. 1713–1714 when Bach transcribed such version for solo organ (BWV 594).An earlier version of the concerto, RV 208a, was probably composed by c. 1712–1713. This version has a different middle movement than the RV 208 version.Vivaldi seems to have had no supervision over the Op. 7 collection, published around 1720 in Amsterdam by the Roger firm, in which the older RV 208a version of the concerto was retained. This version of the concerto does not contain the extended cadenzas, nor an indication where such cadenzas could be inserted. Brass Ensemble Horn,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.750232 Composed by Eddie Lewis. Contemporary. Score and parts. 19 pages. Tiger Music #3007665. Published by Tiger Music (A0.750232). Pearl is the only composition the composer has ever written about a person. He has written works that tell stories about people. He has dedicated compositions to people. He has been inspired by people, but never composed anything that represents someone's personality the way Pearl does. Composed in October 2005, this work is the musical painting of the woman who would become the composer's wife almost two years later. Each musical aspect of the two movements symbolizes a different characteristic of Pearl's personality. Woven into the music is her quiet, caring, devoted nature, her love for God, her passion for the things she believes in, her wisdom, her logical and analytical approach to life, and her care-free disregard for the pressures that force many other women to be less than true to themselves. All of these facets of Pearl are portrayed through symbolism, atmosphere, and mood. The first movement is best described as unfolding. In an unassuming way, the piece unfolds like a delicate blossom confidently moving from bud to full bloom. This unfolding represents the gradual discovery of the depth of a personality as a relationship grows. The second movement represents the patient waiting associated with allowing a relationship to grow and mature. The subtle use of silence is symbolic of this patience, and adds richness to the piece. The debut performance of this remarkable composition formed part of the October 2008 Faculty Recital at Rice University, Houston, Texas.   Pearl is appropriate for college or professional level musicians. As a serious work, Pearl makes an excellent recital piece. The unusual brass trio instrumentation for this work is an added bonus and makes the piece ideal for integration in a brass quintet repertoire, as it provides a rest opportunity for the trombone and one of the trumpets. The MP3 in the sample is only the first movement.

Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1371167 Composed by Emiliano Brunetti. Chamber,Romantic Period. Individual part. 4 pages. Emiliano Brunetti #955418. Published by Emiliano Brunetti (A0.1371167). Anonymous Soldier seeks to portray the fight between what you need to do and what you want to do. It reflects that battle against the Impostor Syndrome, which tells you how far you are from where you really belong. It is my everyday fight for my dreams, despite how hard they are to achieve, and despite the conflicting context I might be living in (writing classical music from my home of Argentina). This piece explores the use of tremolo effect, which is usually found in advanced pieces. As I am not able to play pieces like Recuerdos de la Alhambra (Tárrega) or Una Limosna por el Amor de Dios (Barrios), I tried to write a piece with this technique I enjoy listening to a lot, in a way that I can perform it while improving my playing.
