The Snow Lay on the Ground is a traditional Irish carol.  Since the actual date of Christ's birth is not known, mention of snow raises questions.  Christmas wasn't celebrated on December 25, until 336 A.D.  This arrangement is included in Brenda Dillon's Memories of Christmas Collection- Book 2.  It's written in 6/8 meter and has a lilting dance feeling.About the arranger:  Brenda Dillon is best known for her contributions to the Recreational Music Making movement.  She served on the RMM Committee that designed the RMM Track for MTNA's Pedagogy Saturday.
