Jmsgu3 #3486307. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549335). Duration: ca. 3:00, score: 5 pages, solo part: 1 page, piano part: 2 pages.Very famous song suitable for church, recital or nightclub. I Write the Songs is a popular song written by Bruce Johnston in 1975 and made famous by Barry Manilow. Manilow's version reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in January 1976[2] after spending two weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart in December 1975.[3] It won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year and was nominated for Record of the Year in 1977.[3] Billboard ranked it as the No. 13 song of 1976.[4]The original version was recorded by The Captain & Tennille, who worked with Johnston in the early 1970s with The Beach Boys. It appears on their 1975 album, Love Will Keep Us Together. The first release of I Write the Songs as a single was by then teen-idol David Cassidy from his 1975 solo album The Higher They Climb, which was also produced by Bruce Johnston. Cassidy's version reached #11 on the UK Singles Chart in August of that year.[5]Johnston has stated that, for him, the I in the song is God,[2] and that songs come from the spirit of creativity in all of us. He has said that the song is not about his Beach Boys bandmate Brian Wilson.[6]Manilow was initially reluctant to record the song, stating in his autobiography Sweet Life: The problem with the song was that if you didn't listen carefully to the lyric, you would think that the singer was singing about himself. It could be misinterpreted as a monumental ego trip.[3] After persuasion by Clive Davis, then president of Arista Records, Manilow recorded the song, and his version of I Write the Songs was the first single taken from the album Tryin' to Get the Feeling. It first charted on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 15, 1975, reaching the top of the chart nine weeks later, on January 17, 1976. Wikipedia

Small Ensemble Bells,Handbell,Handchime,Piano Accompaniment - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565864 By Sharon Wilson. By Various. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Easter,Holiday,Instructional,Sacred. Score and parts. 94 pages. Sharon Wilson #6285355. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565864). The title of this collection was inspired by the words found in Ephesians 5:19 (KJV) -- Speaking…in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord… This collection contains 10 hymns arranged for a one octave, 13-note chromatic scale Handbell choir with Piano accompaniment. For each song, the Piano provides an introduction then the Handbells play the melody and occasional 2-part harmony. Most songs include an optional repeat and second ending in case a longer song is desired. For each song, there is a combined score with both instruments (Handbells and Piano) on a grand staff plus two separate scores for the Handbells (one in standard format with black and white notes and the second with color-coded notes). The color-coded scores are enlarged so the colors are easier to distinguish and all sharps and flats are displayed (shown in the key of C) as reminders for beginning ringers. A color-coded note chart is also provided for each song which shows the Handbell notes used as well as the number of times each note is played. The note distribution is helpful when assigning notes to ringers. You may want to assign fewer notes to beginners or evenly distribute the bells between all ringers. As noted above, one of the Handbell scores for each song is color-coded for easier note reading for beginning ringers. These separate color-coded scores use the Chroma-Notes™ Colored Music System. If you have a set of Handbells with a different color scheme, Chroma-Notes Stick Ons can be purchased and applied so the Handbells match this color scheme. The number of ringers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. For more advanced players, each person could be assigned two or three notes. For beginners, it is best to assign one or two notes to each person. Note assignment suggestions are included for each song and range from 4 to 9 ringers. These familiar hymns are perfect for small groups and especially beginning ringers. Most songs can be performed with as few as 5 people (4 ringers and 1 piano player). The Piano accompaniment is written for an intermediate player.Permission is granted to make up to 10 copies of each score. For more than 10 copies, please purchase additional sets. Each song is also available separately with accompanying preview pages and audio samples. Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495196 Composed by Todd Marchand. A Cappella,Christian,Christmas,Folk,Sacred. 4 pages. Con Spirito Music #1071742. Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1495196). Jesus Christ the Apple Tree is the commonly used title for a poem published under the heading Christ compared to an Apple-tree in the August 1761 issue of The Spiritual Magazine, a London periodical for Calvinist Baptists.Above the poem in the publication are words of its author:Gentlemen,Having spent some of my vacant time in the composition of short pieces of Divine Poetry, have sent you the following, by way of specimen; which, if thought worthy of a place in your magazine, shall communicate the others regularly. I am your well-wisher and constant reader, R.H.R.H. is today believed to most likely be the Rev. Richard Hutchins, a Calvinist Baptist clergyman then serving in Long Buckby, Northamptonshire. The poem's first known appearance in a hymnal, and in America, was in 1784 in Divine Hymns, or Spiritual Songs: for the use of Religious Assemblies and Private Christians compiled by Joshua Smith, a lay Baptist minister from New Hampshire. Because of its popularity in New England churches thereafter, it has often been wrongly attributed to an anonymous early American poet or to Smith. The poem may be an allusion to the apple tree in Song of Solomon 2:3 (As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste), which has been interpreted as a metaphor for Jesus. It also alludes to other descriptions of the tree of life in both the Old and New Testaments. Primitive yet profound, Jesus Christ the Apple Tree has been set to music by many composers, including a very popular setting by Elizabeth Poston (1905-1987). This new setting for unaccompanied SATB voices captures the rustic quality of the text with a rising-and-falling folksong-like melody, attractively harmonized. Voices realized by Cantamus (https://cantamus.app/)©Copyright 2024 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music (ASCAP). Arranged by Kevin Hall. Barbershop,Hip-Hop,Pop,R & B,Rock,Standards. 8 pages. Eine kleine Saxmusik #795015. Published by Eine kleine Saxmusik (A0.1195850). One of the most recognizable Doo-Wop songs from the mid-50s, your audience will be singing along as you end your set or gig with this old classic.  As soon as people hear the signature bass line played on the bari that starts the song, they'll start tapping their toes and coming over to hear the group perform.  This arrangement includes an alternate soprano part for the lead, and an alternate bass sax part for the bari to be able to fit almost any sax quartet configuration.  Enjoy!(Copyrighted pieces apparently have some diff. policies from original/public domain:I apologize for the minimum price--it's set by ArrangeMe.  Contact me at kevinqhall at netscape dot net, and I'll be happy to give you credit toward another piece. Also, the sample cuts off at 30 secs.  I loaded the whole song.  If you'd like to hear more of the sample, email me (at the address above), and I'll be happy to send you the sound sample. In addition, I'm unable to edit the title or performer.  My preferences (the original title/performer!!) would be:Title:  Goodnite, Sweetheart, Goodnite (Goodnight, It's Time To Go) - arr. for Sax Quartet A(S)ATB(Bs)Original Performer:  The Spaniels).

Score. 8 pages. Cheryl Prazak #885157. Published by Cheryl Prazak (A0.1294831). “Cast your bread upon the waters†- Ecclesiastes 11:1Lyricist Cheryl Prazak blends eclectic and nostalgic lyric themes with lively renditions of traditional tunes in her new release “Hearts Aflame.â€Working with arranger/producer Jon Burr of arrangerforhire.com, and the wonderful vocalist Sammie Jane, these tracks were created for your enjoyment in the celebration of Christ. The album title and song Hearts Aflame were inspired by the 2023 Asbury Revival at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.Footprints In The GardenOn the path were footprints in the garden, whose they were, I could not find a sign.Thinking I was alone in the garden, I supposed the footprints to be mine.I could not hear your sweet voice pleading, summoning me from a world somewhere. You were in the garden interceding, but I didn’t remember that You care. I could not hear your kind voice calling, lost was I in a world of despair. On my heavy heart your voice was falling, I had long forgotten You were there. Now I hear your voice gently whispering, falling softly as the morning dew.I can feel your loving touch refreshing, bidding me to start my life anew. All the time You were there in the garden, giving me your love and strength sublime.I thought I was alone in the garden; wondrously, You were there all the time. But now your gentle voice I am hearing, breaking through the din and through the fray.Yours the voice of my kind Master speaking, in the garden from which I did stray.Like roses lost within a labyrinth, still fragrantly blossom in the rain.In the garden now two sets of footprints, that is where my roses bloom again. That is where my roses bloom again.

Score. 4 pages. Timothy Stapay #1045091. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1466523). Free As The Wind was composed by Jerry Goldsmith, a very prolific composer of film scores.  This is the main theme from the movie Papillon starring Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. This arrangement is written for intermediate piano.Yesterday's world is a dream like a river that runs through my mind Made of fields and the white pebbled stream that I knew as a child Butterfly wings in the sun taught me all that I needed to see For they sang sang to my heart oh look at me look at me Free as the wind free as the wind that is the way you should be. Love was the dream of my life And I gave it the best I knew how So it always brings tears to my eyes when I think of it now Gone like the butterfly days And the boy that I once used to be But my heart still hears a voice Telling me look , look and you will see There's no regret that I feel For the bitter sweet taste of it all If you love there's a chance you may fly If you fall, well you fall Rather the butterfly life To have lived for a day and been free For my heart still hears a voice Telling me look and you will see.

Published by Christopher Brown (A0.747194). About the song: This anthem begins by compelling the listener and the performer to consider the parable of the hidden treasure and the pearl.
