This, like ‘Lullaby’, also originally appeared on Wrestling Angels, and it was inspired by a particularly strong thunderstorm I experienced while visiting friends and family in Kansas when I was a teenager. The original recording was much more robust, and I really enjoyed approaching it anew as a solo piano piece for The Open Road.
