Choral Choir (TTBB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.1001562 Composed by Lorne Balfe. Arranged by Mark R. Lewis. A Cappella. Octavo. 8 pages. Mark R Lewis #6885085. Published by Mark R Lewis (A0.1001562). In the fall of 2021, Amazon Prime introduced the first season of the television adaptation of Robert Jordan's iconic Wheel of Time book series. The series included a lot of wonderful music composed by Lorne Balfe, including The Song of Manetheren in episode 2. It is presented as a folk song performed by the character Mat and joined by the other main characters as they travel on horseback through the countryside. This arrangement of the piece is arranged by Mark R Lewis for a cappella TTBB ensemble with additional lyrics added by Mark R Lewis. The baritones have the melody the whole time with the basses providing a lower, drone-like harmony and the tenors providing upper harmonies. The arrangement also includes body percussion in the form of foot stomps and hand claps. The piece is not particularly difficult but does have some rather quick, atypical rhythms and may test the ranges of younger singers. You can find other arrangements by Mark R Lewis at http://www.makingjoyfulmusic.com/storefront.html.

Choral Choir,Choral (TTBB Chorus) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495648 By Cast Of Billy Elliot - The Musical. By Elton John and Lee Hall. Arranged by Matt Clifford Sharp. Broadway,Musical/Show. 7 pages. Matthew Sharp #1072171. Published by Matthew Sharp (A0.1495648). ?From the musical production of ?Billy Elliot. This has a simple, evocative melody in which Billy's Father expresses his painfully sad life story, whilst still harbouring a deep, emotional connection to his community and home. The opening acapella solo is very effective, though can easily be given to a whole section if required. It's a simple arrangement where all parts get some melody and the tenors only go up to Eb. Your lower basses will enjoy the optional 8vb on the final line!A VOCAL SCORE AND FULL SET OF REHEARSAL TRACKS IS AVAILABLE FOR FREE.Contact: msharp93@live.co.uk www.matthewsharppianist.com

Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1114067 By Budapest Scoring String Quartet. By David Warin Solomons. Classical,Comedy,Contemporary. Full Performance. Duration 136. David Warin Solomons #715968. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1114067). Instrumental quartet based on my choral piece The Choir in the Rain which is a sequence of limericks written and set to music by the composer imagining the scene if a choir were made to sing in the rain, complete with colds, coughs, sneezes and fever. Original limericks: (Introductory words: pitter patter pom etc) Our conductor was trying to train our choir to sing in the rain the music got wet and to our great regret we finally had to refrain So all of us went back indoors and we sang from our poor dripping scores but the audience cheered as we persevered and demanded sev'ral encores It was then that we all started sneezing the basses were coughing and wheezing The altos in harm'ny sniffed not very calmly but the audience thought we were teasing The Sopranos then noticed their dresses were shrinking and causing distresses the buttons they popped and the tenors they hopped as those buttons shot right past their faces It seemed that the choir was dissolving and the room started slowly revolving we'd all caught a cough it near carried us off as the fever we'd got was evolving We finally reached the last ditty in that chilly and rain sodden city oh we're told that in Spain it just rains on the plain but here it soaks both plain and pretty Performed by Violin 1: Csongor Veér Violin 2: Anna Fehér Viola: Péter Kondor Cello: Mátyás Ölveti of Budapest Scoring.

SATB choir, cello, and piano - Moderately Easy - Digital Download SKU: MQ.50-3104-E Composed by Terre Johnson. Lent. Instrument parts. 14 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #50-3104-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.50-3104-E). English. This text from an old Southern folk hymn is given new original music in this anthem setting for SATB, cello, and piano. The piano part can easily be adapted to organ. The voice parts are accessible. The tenors and basses do sing a verse alone, but in unison to two parts. The sum total makes a sort of contemplative tapestry in which the cello moves in and out of the foreground and so do the voices. Set mostly in C minor, there is a middle section where the chorus sings wordlessly against the cello line and the emphasis shifts to E-flat major. Despite the despair in the text, there is also comfort and reassurance here.

The second verse starts in a similar way with the sopranos getting the melody and the altos with a harmony. It then proceeds to slowly adding in the tenors and basses. It then goes back to the Baritone Solo for the end of the song.

Saxophone Quintet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1083811 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Multicultural,Romantic Period,World. 16 pages. Regis Bookshar #688011. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1083811). Coronation March, TH 50, CW 47 by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Saxophone Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of Peter Tchaikovsky's Coronation March, sometimes called Festival March or Festival Coronation March, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and other festive occasions. This arrangement keeps all of the intensity and excitement of the original composition and is suitable for high school and college students. Professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (16 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available to the public for the first time. The Coronation March was ordered by the city of Moscow for the coronation of Tsar Alexander III in 1883. It was written during March of 1883 and was performed for the first time on June 4, 1883 in Sokolniky Park in Moscow, conducted by Sergei Taneyev. The music then included excerpts of the anthem, God Save the Tsar. The American premiere was on May 5, 1891, for the opening concert of Carnegie Hall in New York City, conducted by Tchaikovsky himself. During the Soviet Era, Russian performances and recordings of the music were revised to omit the excerpts from the Czarist national anthem, replacing it with thematic material used earlier in the march, due to an official Soviet ban on the anthem. Starting with Dmitri Medvedev's inauguration in 2008, an abbreviated version of this piece is played during the Russian presidential inauguration accompanying the entrance of the incoming president, and ends well before the playing in this piece of the Tsarist anthem God Save the Tsar. Unlike Tchaikovsky's other major compositions, the Coronation March does not have an opus number. It has been given alternative catalogue designations TH 50 and CW 47. Tchaikovsky's Coronation March was originally scored for a full orchestra and written in the key of D Major. Regis Bookshar has now created an abbreviated version, written in Db Major, and has arranged it for a Saxophone Quintet, consisting of 1 Soprano Saxophone, 2 Alto Saxophones and 2 Tenor Saxophones. In addition to this arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March for a Saxophone Quintet, other arrangements of this festive composition for various instrumental ensembles are also available. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as there are many more arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you as well, and please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March will continue to entertain both audiences and performers alike for years to come.

Choral Choir,Choral (SAB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1120294 By Philip Le Bas. By James Leith Macbeth Bain (1860-1925). Arranged by Philip Le Bas. Celtic,Christian,Irish,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. 8 pages. Philip Le Bas #721622. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.1120294). An arrangement (revised 2024) by Philip Le Bas of a popular and simple melody by James Leith Macbeth Bain (1860-1925) - Brother James - with words of Psalm 23 (The Lord's my shepherd) for 3-part choir and piano. There are many existing arrangements, but most tend to be rather fancy (e.g. by Gordon Jacob and Alan Bullard), requiring four competent parts, or else it is simply sung as a congregation hymn. Here it is set for SABar choir so that it becomes more accessible to small parish choirs, who may lack tenors and basses. It has five verses, the second and fourth providing an opportunity either for a cappella or for accompanied part singing. The other verses are varied particularly by the piano, although the ending is also in parts.
