String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.861885 Composed by Mark O'Connor. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk. Score and parts. 7 pages. Mark O'Connor Musik International #6205797. Published by Mark O'Connor Musik International (A0.861885). Song Of The Liberty Bell (violin solo part – violin and string orchestra) MO131BViolin Solo Part (score and orchestra parts available)Music by Mark O’Connor5 pages - 5:00 minutes in length Song Of The Liberty Bell for violin and string orchestra was composed and orchestrated by Mark O’Connor and used as the theme song for the critically acclaimed PBS documentary, Liberty! The American Revolution. O’Connor wrote the piece to include three different instrument groupings - unaccompanied solo, folk ensemble, and string orchestra. The Sony Classical album Liberty! features Song Of The Liberty Bell in all three arrangements. Album notes author Thomas Fleming calls the music profoundly moving with exquisite melody. Fleming further describes the orchestral version - O’Connor joins in, and the instruments of the symphony pick up the theme. It is a musical replication of the way the voices of liberty in 1776 began with a lonely defiant few - and then swelled to a tremendous national chorus that has resounded through the world for the next two hundred and thirty-three years. The music is suited for all levels. Original music printed from the composer’s manuscripts.Music editing, copying and engraving by Mark O’Connorusing Finale on Apple Macintosh 1996 Composed by Mark O’ConnorCan be heard on Liberty! Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1184723 Composed by Carrie Jacobs-Bond. Arranged by Phil Beaman. 20th Century,Jazz. Score. 4 pages. Phil Beaman #784405. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.1184723). In The Meadow is a piano solo arrangement of the 1925 hit pop song by Carrie Jacobs-Bond, which was originally a ballad for voice and piano.  This arrangement only uses one bar of the Jacobs-Bond song then goes on a jazz riff, then quotes a second bar of the original song, then goes off on another riff.  The same two bars get sporadically reused twice more in the piece to bridge into yet more riffs.  A fun jazz piece that is both lilting and passionate while it constantly shifts moods.  4 page score; 2:00 minutesThis piece is also found in my book, Carrie Jacobs-Bond, Popular Songs 1900-1925, a collection of 51 of her songs I have arranged for piano solo, which is also available on this site.

Piano Trio Cello,Piano,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1262685 By Sharon Wilson. By B. Ogden, G W Bethune, George Washington Bethune, W A Ogden, and William Augustine Ogden. Arranged by Sharon Wilson and Sharon Wilson Music. 19th Century,Christian,Easter,Multicultural,Sacred,World. 23 pages. Sharon Wilson #855694. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.1262685). Here is a flowing instrumental trio arrangement (for VIOLIN and CELLO duet with PIANO accompaniment) of a beautiful hymn from the late 1800's titled The City of Our God when associated with the lyrics by George Washington Bethune. The tune was composed by William Augustine Ogden. This hymn may be better known by its Spanish title Jerusalén Mi Amado Hogar (Jerusalem My Beloved Home) when used with contemporary lyrics by Nicolás Samojluk. The original lyrics by G. W. Bethune are shown below. Both the VIOLIN and the CELLO get to lead with the melody at times making this a fun and equally challenging piece for both instruments while adding variety for the listeners. The VIOLIN plays the melody for the first verse and then the CELLO leads with the melody for the second verse. The song begins in the key of G major for the first verse, then transitions to the key of C major during the piano interlude between verses. The range for each part is as follows: VIOLIN ~ A4 to A5; CELLO ~ B2 to D4. All notes for both the VIOLIN and CELLO are playable in the first position making this arrangement an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players. The PIANO accompaniment is written for an intermediate player.  Duration 2:50.The purchase price includes these printing options: 1. a grand staff (9 pages) with all parts on each page2. separate scores for the VIOLIN and CELLO (2 pages each) and PIANO (4 pages)3. a combined VIOLIN and CELLO score (4 pages)Visit Sharon Wilson's website: https://www.sharonwilsonmusic.com/Subscribe to her YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/@SharonWilsonMusicLyrics by G. W. Bethune O city of the jasper wall,And of the pearly gate,For thee amid the storms of life,Our weary spirits wait,O may we walk the streets of gold,No mortal feet have trod;O may we worship at the shrine,The temple of our God.Chorus:O land of bliss!O land of light!O city of the jasper wall!O land forever bright!

Flute Choir,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Flute,Bass Flute,Piccolo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1163640 Composed by Simon Franglen. Arranged by Lisa Ochoco. Contemporary,Film/TV. 20 pages. Lisa L Ochoco #763982. Published by Lisa L Ochoco (A0.1163640). Avatar: The Way of Water, is the long-awaited sequel to the award-winning film from 2009.  The soundtrack for the new film was written by Simon Franglen, who originally wrote 5 hours of music to cover any and all situations in the almost 3-hour movie. The Songcord is a beautiful song that is heard twice in the film – at the beginning and at the end.  A songcord is a mnemonic device used by the Na’vi that assists them in storytelling.  In this song, Neytiri is thanking Eywa – the Great Mother - for her family. This arrangement is scored for flute choir – piccolo with 4 C, alto, bass, and contrabass flutes.  There is an optional cello part that doubles the contrabass that can be played by any bass clef C instrument in a similar range. One of the most important parts of this piece is what helps create the mood, which is where the part called “Shimmer†comes in.  In an interview, Simon Franglen said that an important part of the music is the feeling of light, and he achieved that by including shimmering sounds into his tunes.  The “Shimmer†part can be played by hanging a few keys (house keys, car keys, etc.) that have different pitches on short lengths of string.  Use a small metal or wooden object to lightly hit the keys to create little “dingsâ€. You can also use wind chimes, a little xylophone, bells, etc.  The idea is to create a magical mood without overpowering the music.  Play this part wherever there is a note in the measure. Always keep the melody prominent.  The piccolo should always be played softly - at the equivalent volume of the group’s piano.  Play this slowly and freely, with a lot of rubato.  Duration: 3.75 minutes.

Small Ensemble Cello,English Horn,Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576333 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary,Jewish. Score and parts. 14 pages. David Warin Solomons #18241. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576333). Originally written for oboe, clarinet and bassoon (also available on this site) this version of Hora ha Kulmus (Dance of the quill) - a dance in Hora style - was arranged for the Trio Da Capo. The Arundo Donax is a humble but versatile plant. The writing implement - the reed quill was used in ancient days, before the feather quill, for writing, and is still used in instances where softness, flexibility and humility are required. (Chazal (the sages of the time 200 BCE to 600 CE) say that, to write a Sefer Torah (a handwritten copy of the five first books of the Bible), one must not use a quill from a cedar tree that stands tall and arrogant, rather a quill from a reed which is soft, flexible and humble.) It is also used for the reeds of musical instruments, hence the title of this piece. The word for this reed and for this reed quill pen crosses the boundaries of Semitic and Indo-European: the Latin Calamus, the Greek kalamos, the Arabic qalam, the Hebrew Kulmus, the Swahili kalamu all go back to the Arundo Donax plant and the reed pen from which it is made.
