The original recording of the song was published by EMI KPM library music on its Showtunes album in 2014 and has been used worldwide in radio and TV adverts, however it is probably best known for featuring in a number of episodes of the highly acclaimed Professor T series. I have been often requested about the sheet music which EMI KPM is happy for me, as the writer of the song to release it now. The music of this anthem was composed by the Italian-born musician Oreste Síndici and was first performed in 1887. The song became popular and was quickly adopted as the National Anthem. It was made official in 1920. Colombian musician José Rozo Contreras arranged the music for symphonic band, which was adopted as an official version in 1946.  This quick and easy national anthem arrangement is essential for traveling musicians, bands, instrumental groups and both amateur and professional ensembles. You can play it with any virtually any combination of instruments: symphonic band, clarinet choir, brass ensemble, brass band, solos, duets and trios - almost anything! This arrangement is in five independent parts each transposed into a variety of keys. There is also a piano part for rehearsal purposes but which may also be used in performance. The string parts range from elementary to advanced to give the very young players experience in an orchestral environment. Hall of the Mountain King starts very softly with the lower string pizzicato and ends with a crashing climax.
