Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138826 By Louise du Toit. By Louise du Toit. Arranged by Louise du Toit. Contemporary. Score. 10 pages. Louise du Toit #739125. Published by Louise du Toit (A0.1138826). Impukane the Fly is the fourteenth in a series of fifteen original contemporary compositions for piano, titled 15 Animal Compositions for Piano and created to musically describe the movement and habits of specific wildlife creatures. From music notes to words: Impukane the fly is overjoyed. Engulfed in the mud at a waterhole at Mkuzi in Zululand, an old warthog is taking a nap; unknowingly becoming the perfect target for the fly with his irritating demeanor. Whirring around the warthog’s nose, trotting on his eyelids and creeping into his ears, Impukane annoys the animal until it jumps up furiously, trying to catch it between his teeth. Darting away with high agility, the fly manages to stay out of range while circling around the warthog’s head, annoying him even more. After many unsuccessful attempts to hunt down the insect, the warthog backs off and buries himself in the mud again to find some peace, but it is of no use. Joined by another fly, Impukane continues to pester him; soon a whole crowd of fluttering bugs whizz past his ears. Finally, the poor old warthog decides to flee for good, and dizzy from the continuous buzzing noises around his head, he heads off into the bushes with a loud and angry snort..

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1309664 Composed by علي إسماعيل‎‎ Ali Ismael. Arranged by Keith Terrett. Multicultural,Patriotic,Praise & Worship,Traditional,World. 27 pages. Keith Terrett #898837. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1309664). An arrangement for Flexible Band of the Palestinian National Anthem. Fida'Ä« (Arabic: Ùدائي, romanized: Fida'i, lit. 'Fedayeen warrior') is the national anthem of Palestine.History: The anthem was adopted by the Palestinian Liberation Organization in 1996,[2] in accordance with Article 31 of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence from 1988.[not verified in body] It replaced Mawtini. It was written by Said Al Muzayin (a.k.a. Fata Al Thawra, boy of the revolution), while its music was composed by Egyptian maestro Ali Ismael. It was known as the anthem of the Palestinian redemption.Lyrics:The word fidÄʾīyÄ«n is the Arabic plural of fidÄʾī, which means sacrifice / one who sacrifices himself (a literal translation of fidÄʾīyÄ«n might be martyrs), and it originally comes from Persia, where the first band of fedayeen (also famous as Hashshashin) was formed by Hassan-i Sabbah. The Palestinian fedayeen (from the Arabic fidÄ'Ä«, plural fidÄ'iyÅ«n, Ùدائيون) are militants or guerrillas of a nationalist orientation from among the Palestinian people. Most Palestinians consider the fedayeen to be freedom fighters.

The work was first performed at a concert in Ben’s Theater Jomtien by the Salaya Quartet, a distinguished group of musicians who at the time were section leaders in the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. The first performance of the original oboe version of this work was given by Cooper Wright (oboe); Inga Causa (violin); Dr Danny Keasler (viola) and Martin Szawelski (cello).  Although originally conceived as an encore piece, this lively work will enliven any concert program. It’s written in G major with two bright and rhythmic outer sections and a more reflective middle section that briefly gives the melody to the cello. The oboe part requires an experienced player but it is not especially challenging in terms of range. The cello part remains in the bass clef throughout. The work is also available scored for flute and string trio. The score has seven pages and the four instrumental parts have three pages each, with slightly enlarged print to facilitate performance. The score and parts are contained music in a single 20-page PDF file.     Dr Colin Kirkpatrick studied at London’s Royal College of Music and followed a career in music education.
