Guitar - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.964321 Composed by Chinese traditional. Arranged by Jack Evans. Folk,World. Guitar Tab. 9 pages. Jack Stanley Evans #6274353. Published by Jack Stanley Evans (A0.964321). One of the most famous pieces of Chinese classical music, this composition was originally written for solo Pipa and has been popular since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was previously known as Pipa of Xunyang, and Flute and Drum Music at Dusk, before it was given its current name in 1925. The name Moonlit Night on the Spring River is derived from a Tang Dynasty (618-907) poem by Zhang Ruoxu, which is very well regarded in China. The poem describes a scene of moonlight reflecting on the surface of a river in spring.Moonlit Night on Spring River is written in a multi-sectional form, with each section noticeably different to the others but with some recurring phrases which tie the whole composition together. Although it was originally composed for pipa, this guitar arrangement is based on a version for guzheng, which is a relative of the guqin, but with 21 strings and moveable bridges. The tuning for this arrangement is DGBEAD, from the lowest to highest string. As with Moon Over Guan Mountain, this arrangement is scored one tone higher, as if the third and fourth strings have been detuned by a semitone. I used a mixture pick, fingers, and hybrid picking to play this arrangement, with the fast, single note lines played with a pick and the loud chordal passages with hybrid picking. The quieter sections use fingers only.

E-Flat Tenor Horn,Instrumental Solo,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1416508 Composed by Greg Patmore. 21st Century,Classical. Score and individual part. 11 pages. Gregory Patmore #998187. Published by Gregory Patmore (A0.1416508). Inspired by the western islands and highlands of Scotland, this is a beautiful but challenging showpiece for Eb tenor horn (alto horn) and piano. Virtuosic, dramatic, evocative, lyrical, exciting for performers and rewarding for an attentive audience. A rhspdody in the form of a single movement which subdivides into an opening theme followed by three main sections, each derived from elements of the opening theme. First a leisurely dance with a scottish lilt, then a peaceful central section building to a dramatic peak and falling away, then into a virtuosic, eccentric finale. The whole piece is stylish, with intensity, but also lightness of touch and even a little humour!

The song catered to a wartime nostalgia for songs about European cities following the Second World War Battle of France (which brought Paris under Nazi control), with A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square also proving popular. The song won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1941. This was Kern's second Academy Award for Best Original Song (following his success with The Way You Look Tonight in 1936), and Hammerstein's first. Władziu Valentino Liberace(May 16, 1919 – February 4, 1987) was an American pianist, singer, and actor.  A child prodigy born in Wisconsin to parents of Italian and Polish origin, he enjoyed a career spanning four decades of concerts, recordings, television, motion pictures, and endorsements. String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1505206 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Christmas,Historic,Renaissance,Traditional. 14 pages. Jmsgu3 #1080594. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1505206). The Coventry Carol is an essential and historically significant English Christmas carol with several notable aspects: Origins and HistoryIt originated in the 16th century in Coventry, England. The carol was part of a medieval mystery play called The Pageant of the Shearmen and Tailors. It was performed annually by local trade guilds as part of religious community events that told Bible stories.Unique Subject MatterUnlike most Christmas carols, it does not celebrate the birth of Jesus but instead commemorates the Massacre of the Innocents. The lyrics are from the perspective of mothers in Bethlehem mourning their children who are about to be killed by King Herod's soldiers.Musical CharacteristicsIt has a haunting, plaintive melody in a minor key, which adds to its somber mood. The original medieval melody has been lost, but the current tune dates back to at least 1591.Historical PreservationThe carol narrowly survived being lost to history. The original manuscript was destroyed in a fire in 1879 but was preserved thanks to earlier transcriptions by scholars. It gained renewed popularity after being broadcast from the bombed ruins of Coventry Cathedral in 1940 during World War II.Cultural ImpactWhile not as widely known as some carols, it remains an important part of English Christmas musical traditions. Its poignant lyrics and melody have made it a powerful and moving piece for many listeners. Thus, The Coventry Carol represents an important piece of medieval English musical and theatrical history and a unique perspective on the Christmas story that has endured for centuries.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1270338 Composed by Paul Addison, Marian Kurzdorfer, and Karen Kurzdorfer. Arranged by Paul Addison. Children,Religious. Score. 59 pages. Paul Addison #862749. Published by Paul Addison (A0.1270338). This musical tells a story of what life might have been like for Jesus at the age of 12. He learns lessons from the scriptures in synagogue school, including the Creation, the Ten Commandments, and the stories of Samson and David. He has dinner with his family, and his sisters ask about the role of women in the home and  in the culture. He discusses learning a trade with his father Joseph. Then the family takes a trip to Jerusalem for the Passover feast, and it is there that Jesus talks with the rabbis and scholars about the deeper meaning of the scriptures. They ask, “Who is this boy?â€, to which the women reply, “His name is Jesusâ€.The songs are at an easy level, mostly with single-line melodies. There is one rap song, “Rabbi’s Rapâ€, which could be accompanied by a beat-box sound. There is also a medley, “Who Is This Boy? / His Name is Jesusâ€, in which the scholars and teachers sing two verses, the women’s chorus sings two verses, and then they sing together. The musical runs about 40 minutes.
