Instrumental Duet,Piano Euphonium,Instrumental Duet,Piano,Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927030 Composed by Franz Schubert, Kayla Roth. 20th Century,Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 27 pages. Kayla Roth #3373343. Published by Kayla Roth (A0.927030). From the composer's program notes included with this purchase:I have taken Schubert’s famous setting and arranged it in a set of musical homages to other composers. I have also included Schubert’s original theme, transposed down to F, and I would recommend playing it twice in the beginning to give your audience a good idea of it.For most of the pieces, I tried to capture the composer’s overall style; however, there are a few particular pieces that are either quoted or used as the stylistic basis, as follows: Mozart - I based this variation, stylistically, on Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major (K.467), specifically movement two (Andante), as well as some of his earliest childhood piano compositions. Symphony 40 in G minor (K.550) is quoted rhythmically. Strauss, Jr. - For inspiration, I used Du und Du, Op. 367, a waltz that is derived from various parts of his beloved operetta, Die Fledermaus. I quoted rhythms from this, as well as from Frühlingsstimmen, Op. 410. Joplin - I didn’t base this on any particular piece of Joplin’s; I tried to include elements that are common in his rags (a short introduction, arpeggiated diminished seventh chords, chromaticism, syncopation over a boom-chuck). Perhaps the best advice comes from Joplin himself: Don’t play this piece fast. It is never right to play ragtime fast. Porter - I had to include an offering from the Great American Songbook! Frank Sinatra recorded several of Porter’s well-known tunes in the 1940s, such as Easy To Love, Night and Day, and I Love You; his renditions of these songs are heavy on the schmaltz and sentimentality, which is exactly what I was trying to achieve in this variation.Bach - The minor variation! I had Fugue in G minor, BWV 578 (Little Fugue) in mind when writing this.der Jodelkönig - As Heidenröslein is a strophic, folk-songesque German piece, I thought it fitting to end the variations with an imitation of traditional Alpine yodeling.  It is named in honor of Franzl Lang, the Yodelking.

Oboe,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1227309 By Nino Rota. By Eddie Snyder, Larry Kusik, and Nino Rota. Arranged by André Nusa. Film/TV. Score and part. 3 pages. Andre_Nusa #823302. Published by Andre_Nusa (A0.1227309). This piano and oboe arrangement of the song A Time for Us from the movie Romeo and Juliet is a beautiful and emotional interpretation of this classic love song. The arrangement is designed for begginer players, featuring simple harmonies and delicate melodies. The piano plays the chords of the song, establishing a slow and romantic rhythm that sets the tone for the piece. The oboe plays the melody, playing the iconic theme of the song in a soft and mournful tone that captures the longing and passion of the original. The interplay between the two instruments is carefully crafted to evoke the drama and intensity of the original composition, while also adding a unique and personal touch to the arrangement. With its delicate melodies, intricate harmonies, and soulful performances, this arrangement is sure to capture the hearts of audiences and transport them to a world of love and romance.

Guitar Ensemble Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797767 Composed by Johnny Pearson. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Contemporary,Film/TV. Score and parts. 24 pages. Derek Hasted #5222105. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797767). SLEEP SHORES (theme to Owen MD) - 4 GUITARS/LARGE ENSEMBLEFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes Johnny Pearson was a prolific composer and ran the BBC Top Of The Pops orchestra for 16 years. My arrangement captures every one of the stunning and uplifting key changes of the orchestral version. The key chosen here is different to the original, but it means we can use the full playable range of the guitar and play in some keys that are less alien to guitarists! The original version was scored for piano and orchestra but also featured a guitar to provide a rhythmic backdrop, and that part is captured here too, along with the electric bass guitar line, set for classical or acoustic guitar. From the perspective of a guitar teacher, this piece is a wonderful worked example of the Circle of Fifths in action, and the final key change uses the A#(Bb) and E that are common to the chords of F#7 and C7 to create an effortless movement right across the Circle of Fifths from bottom to top in one easy action! From the perspective of the players, the arpeggios are moveable chords and so the section with the most key changes is also the section that’s easiest to play! And from the perspective of the audience, the key changes make this a remarkable and engaging piece.I hope you enjoy this piece!
