Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.956649 Composed by Theodor Kullak. Arranged by Catriona Melville-Mason. Concert,Romantic Period,Standards. 8 pages. C Melville-Mason #6505717. Published by C Melville-Mason (A0.956649). Child’s Prayer is one of a collection of character pieces, originally for piano, written by German pianist and teacher Theodor Kullak (1818 – 1882).  Much of Kullak’s output had educational objectives.  Here the aim is to convey some of the sincerity and innocent intensity of a child’s prayer. This arrangement for semi-flexible mixed woodwind combination of 2 flutes, oboe and either B-flat clarinet or bassoon is ideal for intermediate-level players seeking something light but not over-familiar to add to their repertoire.  While not technically challenging, this piece does require good ensemble skills to perform effectively.

Soprano voice and string quartet - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q48897 Six Lieder by Theodor Kirchner. Composed by Aribert Reimann. This edition: score and parts. Downloadable, score and parts. Duration 23 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q48897. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q48897). German.Theodor Kirchner (1823-1903) began composing at a very early age, initially receiving great support from Felix Mendelssohn and Robert Schumann and subsequently from Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms. Even his Lieder op. 1 already display a clear formal structure, the concentration of tonal material within a limited space and rhythmic variability. I have selected six lieder based on poems by Heinrich Heine originating from different periods of Kirchner’s life and interleaved them between seven bagatelles which make selective references to the previous or next lied, sometimes as a single note, a chord or a gesture. The Sieben Bagatellen can additionally be performed separately, independently of the complete cycle. (Aribert Reimann).
