Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549341 By Barry Manilow. By Bruce Johnston. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Contemporary,Rock. Score and part. 8 pages. Jmsgu3 #3486693. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549341). Duration: ca. 3:00, score: 5 pages, solo part: 1 page, piano part: 2 pages.Very famous song suitable for church, recital or nightclub. I Write the Songs is a popular song written by Bruce Johnston in 1975 and made famous by Barry Manilow. Manilow's version reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in January 1976[2] after spending two weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart in December 1975.[3] It won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year and was nominated for Record of the Year in 1977.[3] Billboard ranked it as the No. 13 song of 1976.[4]The original version was recorded by The Captain & Tennille, who worked with Johnston in the early 1970s with The Beach Boys. It appears on their 1975 album, Love Will Keep Us Together. The first release of I Write the Songs as a single was by then teen-idol David Cassidy from his 1975 solo album The Higher They Climb, which was also produced by Bruce Johnston. Cassidy's version reached #11 on the UK Singles Chart in August of that year.[5]Johnston has stated that, for him, the I in the song is God,[2] and that songs come from the spirit of creativity in all of us. He has said that the song is not about his Beach Boys bandmate Brian Wilson.[6]Manilow was initially reluctant to record the song, stating in his autobiography Sweet Life: The problem with the song was that if you didn't listen carefully to the lyric, you would think that the singer was singing about himself. It could be misinterpreted as a monumental ego trip.[3] After persuasion by Clive Davis, then president of Arista Records, Manilow recorded the song, and his version of I Write the Songs was the first single taken from the album Tryin' to Get the Feeling. It first charted on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 15, 1975, reaching the top of the chart nine weeks later, on January 17, 1976. Wikipedia

Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1320915 Composed by Joh. Seb. Bach. Arranged by Georg Mertens. Baroque,Chamber,Classical,Traditional,Wedding. Individual part. 13 pages. Georg Mertens #909357. Published by Georg Mertens (A0.1320915). Having grown up as a cellist, who played the Suite since I am 11 years of age, I sometimes imagined or even hummed suitable bass notes, which you can't reach on the cello. Also, I imagined certain harmonies, completed in imagination when playing the Suite for years. - With many arrangements by guitarists, who didn't play the Suite on cello, I can hear, they are not going the right way! - Bach himself arranged cello Suite No 5 for lute - as lute Suite No 3 - giving us an example of how he himself went about when adding accompaniment notes - and he certainly did!Good examples are Gavotte 2 and the Gigue from Cello Suite No 5 - or lute Suite No 3. Bach also arranged the violin Partita No 3 in E major for lute - as lute Suite No 4, another example of how he himself went about. - In the arrangement here, I tried also to transfer the slurs on the cello sometimes to the guitar - e.g. in the Gigue - when I found it brings better the intended articulation better out.I hope you thoroughly enjoy the arrangement!

Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1461634 By Various. By Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi. Arranged by Will Corbin. Jazz,Pop. 23 pages. Will Corbin #1040378. Published by Will Corbin (A0.1461634). This song, published in 1955 during the warmest part of the Cold War, is a true Soviet anthem and also, after it escaped the Iron Curtain, a modern jazz standard. When composer Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi and his poet-lyrcist partner, Mikhail Matusovsky put the song together, they titled it Leningrad Nights (which today would be the very unpoetic St. Petersburg Nights. For some reason the Soviet Ministry of Culture asked them to rename it, roughly, Evenings In The Moscow Suburbs. Thankfully, the official name didn't stick. The song provided break music for a Soviet music and news station and also for Radio Moscow. I heard it performed by a small band on the steps of the Katerina Palace, the Summer Palace, outside St. Petersburg and was inspired to give it a shot when I got home. This accessible arrangement, which features a Dixieland break, is for two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba. If you need other instrumentation, please contact me at wilcor@aol.com.

Clarinet Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.578952 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk,World. Individual part. 8 pages. David Warin Solomons #2063471. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.578952). Journeymen (young craftsmen) in Germany used to be required by law to go from town to town to practise their skills rather than stay in one town, which gave rise to many songs, of which Es es es und es is the best known - (the words of that song mean it is a hard conclusion but I have to leave this town). These journeys were referred to as Walz so these workers went auf der Walz. The idea of travelling auf der Walz was also taken up in Australia (where they called it on the Waltz or on the Wallaby) and it gave rise to the famous song Waltzing Matilda, although in the Ozzie song the traveller was a swagman rather than a craftsman. So I have called this arrangement On the Wallaby. In neither case was the 3/4 time of the Waltz used although there is probably a connection: I initially tried to create this merged arrangement in 3/4 but it didn't seem to work satisfactorily... So here is a 4/4 waltz based on the two traditional and related songs. The pdf file contains score and parts. The sound sample is an electronic preview.

Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1156458 Composed by Erik Satie. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. 20th Century,Classical,Romantic Period. Guitar Tab. 7 pages. Brian Streckfus #756776. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1156458). IMPORTANT NOTE: You get both tablature version and sheet music version in one 7 page PDF! Hopefully this makes these arrangements all-inclusive for different purposes and skill levels. Also the tab version is meant for Drop D tuning and the sheet music is for standard tuning! Just be careful with your printer settings if you don't want two versions!1. Impressionism French minimalist piece arranged for guitar in Drop D Tuning.2. The composer indications in text are not my recommendations, but the original composer's. 2. Guitar tablature added with circles for half notes and whole notes.3. Measures and time signatures removed to reflect the ethos of the original composer. 4. Engraved to fit on four pages. Many of the lines themselves represent a musical phrase, making my arrangement that much easier to perform musically.  5. Courtesy accidentals added but they just look like regular accidentals. I did this especially because the piece is one gigantic measure and accidental etiquette is hard to follow under those circumstances. 6. Some overly contrived ties removed. This one is a real challenge to engrave because the original composer didn't have bar lines or time signatures. Cool idea but that can cause even the best sheet music programs to glitch out a bit when you have 16/4 hidden time signatures! This especially causes problems with accidentals, and it also causes rhythm problems when multiple voices are happening. As always, I like to try to have notes with upward stems represent the main voice, and downward stems to represent background voices, even though this leads to a bit of messiness with stem collisions. Normally the sheet music shows the rhythm the best, but dare I say the tab actually keeps track of time pretty well since all the voices are condensed into one rhythm line.

Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1173897). A beautiful song about coming to the Savior with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Kathryn W. Hales.Text:I went in the Gold Rush like many a man,To search for some nuggets or a flash in the pan.But few were the findings from a grand mother lode,I went for the Gold Rush, but I didn’t find gold.I found what was there, growing right from the ground,The flora and fauna, with trees that abound.I found the beauty of nature’s own place,I found the beauty shown by God’s grace.Like those in the Gold Rush, I’ve oft followed man,To search for the shiny, a flash in the pan,But the glamour soon ended when the glitzy wore thin,I went for the sparkly but found grace for my sins. The world cannot offer the true value of souls,For they are more precious than nuggets of gold.I found true wealth, not deep in a mine,But in the pierced hands of a Savior divine.I might lose my way, when guided by man,So, look to the heavens and follow God’s plan. The glitter of Fool’s Gold has many deceived__A glimmer of hope, then deep tears of grief.I’ll look for the riches only He can bestow,I’ll avoid that ol’ Gold Rush but seek for true gold.By seeking a life, eternal and pure,Seeking for Jesus, who gives gold that endures.
