Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.837482 Composed by Brett L. Wery. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,World. 76 pages. Sonata Grendel Publishing #3133453. Published by Sonata Grendel Publishing (A0.837482). All the movements of Four World Variants are based on one theme. The theme proper can be heard in the fugue subject of the first movement. The second movement uses the theme in retrograde inversion (backwards and upside down) to emulate the music of Gagaku. Gagaku literally translates as elegant music and is the ancient imperial court music of Japan. The third movement uses the theme in retrograde (simply backwards) to create a sarabande. Sarabandes are typically associated with the dance suites of the Baroque era but are said to have originated in Central and North America. The Sarabande was banned for a time in 16th  century Spain for it’s lascivious nature. The final movement uses the original form of the theme combined with a traditional drumming pattern of the Ewe people of Togo, Benin, and Ghana, West Africa. I. Europe: An Enlightenment Fugue II. Asia: A Gagaku Serenade III. A New World Sarabande IV. Africa: Ewe Polyrhythms This 14 minute suite is scored for two four B-flat clarinets and is ideal for high school, college or professional players.   You can find information on Brett L. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.774773 By Adam Lambert. By Roland Orzabal. Arranged by Sandra Milliken. Film/TV. Octavo. 12 pages. Sandra Milliken #6054381. Published by Sandra Milliken (A0.774773). Mad World is a 1982 song written by Roland Orzabal and sung by Curt Smith, members of the British band Tears for Fears. It was the band's third single release and its first chart hit, reaching number 3 on the UK Singles Chart in November 1982. It has since been covered by an extensive list of singers, most notably by Gary Jules and Michael Andrews for the soundtrack of the 2001 film Donnie Darko. This version became a UK number one hit when it was released as a single in 2003.Orzabal wrote the song when he was 19, living in an apartment above a pizza shop in Bath. Here he would spend his time looking out the window, strumming guitar and watching people going about their daily business. It's a bizarre viewpoint to watch people go about their daily routine, having to work for a living, when you're sitting in a flat, unemployed, he said. That's where it came from.In keeping with the poignant simplicity of the Gary Jules version, this choral arrangement seeks to maintain the clarity of the text, with passing dissonances highlighting the word mad. The ending section includes overlapping motif ideas which can be effectively dramatized in accordance with the included performance notes.  Mad World is available in three voicings – SSA, SAB and SATB – all with piano accompaniment.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.796820 By Eric Clapton. By Gordon Kennedy, Tommy Sims, and Wayne Kirkpatrick. Arranged by Eric Hagmann. A Cappella. Octavo. 6 pages. Eric Hagmann #4357319. Published by Eric Hagmann (A0.796820). An SATB contemporary a cappella arrangement of Change the World by Eric Clapton.  The Clapton version of this song won three Grammy Awards, reached the Top 40 in twenty countries, and was featured on the soundtrack of the 1996 film Phenomenon.  Change the World lends itself perfectly to the a cappella treatment.  This particular arrangement features the entire ensemble rather than focusing on an individual soloist.  Additionally, it does not require the use of vocal percussion.  While most covers of this song rely on the underlying rhythm to move it forward, this chart is driven by its stress on text and colorful harmonies.  This idea is especially prominent when going into the final chorus with the smooth use of a pivot tone modulation to raise the entire piece by a minor third.  Surprising and effective, your singers and your audience will love the fresh approach to this piece of music.   Perfect for an intermediate level high school or college ensemble.   .

Stephen R Dalrymple #454566. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.847874). Hope of the World 06: On the Road to Bethlehemoriginal song for SATB choir and piano by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ sequenced by the composer♫ music © 1999, 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ recording ℗ 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ presentation © 2023♫ based on Genesis 35, Jeremiah 36, Matthew 2♫ This prophecy alludes to Rachel’s death near Bethlehem. Rachel dies in bitterness. Jeremiah prophecies the grief of the mothers of Jerusalem will experience at the sack of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar and personifies it as Rachel weeping. A third use of the metaphor is the mothers whose babies are destroyed at Herod the Great’s command. ♫ Coventry Carol is 1 of 3 songs belonging to Pageant of the Shearmen and Tailors, a Coventry Mystery play of the nativity. The only surviving copy of the play (and the song) is dated 1534. The text of Coventry Carol expresses horror of the murder of the innocents by Herod.♫ To balance the darkness and grief of the music, the composer has concluded the song with a reminder of how God intervened to protect His Son and the redemption of mankind.♫ Hope of the World is made of 2 suites of songs that present messianic prophecies from the Old Testament that are referenced in the New Testament. The first 8 songs center on the birth of Christ, the last 9, Christ’s life and passion.♫ Includes 1) full score 2) SATB choir part on 2 staves 3) full score for 10 inch tablet♫  (Tell your computer which pages you want to print. Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1439047 Composed by Todd Marchand. Christian,Sacred. 5 pages. Con Spirito Music #1019076. Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1439047). “Let All the World in Ev’ry Corner Sing” is a short poem from the collection, The Temple, by Anglican priest, poet, and orator George Herbert (1593-1633). A contemporary of William Shakespeare and John Milton, God-child to poet John Donne, Herbert is associated with the 17th-century Metaphysical poets and “is remembered as a pivotal figure: enormously popular, deeply and broadly influential, and arguably the most skillful and important British devotional lyricist of his or any other time.” Shortly before his death in 1633 at age 39, Herbert directed that a manuscript of his religious poems be sent to his fellow clergyman and friend, Nicholas Ferrar, reportedly saying, “Tell him ... if he can think it may turn to the advantage of any dejected poor Soul, let it be made publick: if not, let him burn it: for I and it, are less than the least of God’s mercies.” First published in 1633, The Temple was an enormously popular work, totaling more than 20,000 copies printed in 13 editions between 1633 and 1679.“Let All the World in Ev'ry Corner Sing” is the refrain of Herbert’s poem, “Antiphon (I),” which appeared in the “Christian Life” section of The Temple. An antiphon may be defined as a short sentence or refrain sung or recited before or after a psalm or canticle; and in Herbert's short poem of two stanzas, he may also have intended that the verses be recited antiphonally (alternately) by two groups. The third stanza in this setting for SATB voices and organ, a doxology by an unknown author, was added in the 19th century. ©Copyright 2024 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music (ASCAP). For more sacred, patriotic, folk, and popular music for instruments and voices, visit www.conspiritomusic.com

String Orchestra - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1001583 Composed by Folk Songs, W.A. Mozart, F. Schubert. Arranged by Linda Jane Finegan. Children,Folk,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. 24 pages. Linda J Finegan #6502371. Published by Linda J Finegan (A0.1001583). This is the first of a three-volume set of rounds arranged for string orchestra (Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass). The music is organized by levels of difficulty. Volume 1 is 14 rounds for first to third year players. Volumes 2 and 3 will be coming soon. Many of the tunes in the first collection are American, although melodies from Europe are also included. You will find nursery-rhyme rounds and gems from the great classical music composers. Written for two to four parts, my arrangements are for treble, alto and bass clef with a score included as well. You will find tips for better execution of the music, pedagogical ideas and information on the composers and compositions. Rounds are wonderful for improving intonation, ensemble and concentration. The genius of a round is that by staggering the entrances, a simple melody can be transformed into a concert piece that is polyphonic and harmonious.  Any two or more people of any age can enjoy making music together with a round.

Violin Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.997389 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Rachel Lee. Concert,Folk,Romantic Period,Sacred,Spiritual. 14 pages. Rachel Lee #5307871. Published by Rachel Lee (A0.997389). This arrangement of Going Home/Largo from the New World Symphony for violin quartet was composed with a violin studio in mind. This arrangement provides a way to get a group of violinists together and can be performed with multiple people playing each part. Violin I was written for more advanced players, going up into third position and beyond while also using more difficult string crossing techniques and rhythms. Each part is a little easier, with Violin IV being the easiest so that beginner players can participate in a performance. This allows for in-studio collaboration and could be played at the end of a studio recital or any other suitable performance.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.773758 Composed by George Frideric Handel. Arranged by Anthony Giamanco. Christmas,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 28 pages. Whole Tone Press #5002095. Published by Whole Tone Press (A0.773758). Joy to the World is arranged in a festive style for alto solo, choir, brass quintet and piano. The alto solo is straightforward, adhering to the original melody. The choir parts are moderately easy (with some divisi) and support the soloist for the most part; however, they are given the third stanza to sing unaccompanied. The brass parts are moderate in difficulty (1st trumpet is required to play a whole note D6 at the finale). A good pianist (late intermediate +) is required to play moderately fast scale passages, both hands, during a transitional section, as well as a number of thick chord passages and leaps. This piece is ideal for use during the Christmas season in both church and concert venues. Anthony Giamanco is a member of ASCAP. His many piano, organ, choir, and chamber works are in the catalogs of numerous publishers including GIA, Shawnee Press, Alfred, Augsburg Fortress, Lorenz, and others. His pieces also can be purchased through sheetmusicplus.com and JW Pepper. Anthony's music can be heard on his website, anthonygiamanco.com, and on YouTube. Contact info: tony@shalomlife.org.

Handbell - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1307850 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Cheryl (Sutton) Baker - Bronze:FX. 19th Century,Classical,Romantic Period. Score. 13 pages. Bronze:FX #897097. Published by Bronze:FX (A0.1307850). This arrangement of “From the New World†(Third Movement) is for full bell choir using 4-6 octaves of handbells. When played with 12 ringers, the piece is rated at Level 5.Filled with interesting and contrasting rhythms and techniques, this arrangement is fun to play and thoroughly enjoyable to hear. Each range of the bells is featured in different ways at different times in the piece. The middle bells have a lot of rhythm and technique changes which are not very difficult and will keep the ringers smiling. The super bass bells sometimes play the part of the timpani or strong brass, and at other times have a counter melody all their own. The high bells may carry the melody (often doubled in octaves), but that same melody is often echoed in the other bell ranges as well just a beat or two later. The arranger recommends that ringers listen to an orchestral recording of this composition. It is arranged in the same key, and (if you can) could be rehearsed together.  If you have enough hands available, the arranger provides suggestions for an added triangle part. This arrangement is dedicated to Bay Bells, an advanced community handbell choir that the arranger Cheryl (Sutton) Baker (also known as Cheryl Woldseth) directed from 1986 to 1997. Under her leadership, Bay Bells and the subset Bay Bells Ensemble performed throughout California, Oregon, Nevada, and Hawaii, plus they toured Indonesia in 1996 and also performed at the 1996 International Handbell Symposium in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bay Bells premiered this arrangement at the 1997 National AGEHR Ringers Conference in Sacramento, California.Performance time• 8 minutes, 10 seconds.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.942691 By Louis Armstrong With Kenny G. By Bob Thiele and George David Weiss. Arranged by Adam White. Jazz. Score and parts. 9 pages. Adam Michael White #6525825. Published by Adam Michael White (A0.942691). Here is my updated arrangement of Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World for string quartet. After having the privilege of getting a string quartet to play the previous version for me, I came to realize that I did not like it and removed it from this website until I could write a better arrangement. Of the changes that I made, I split up the melody amongst the whole quartet instead of just giving it to the cello, and I changed various voicings, registers, and accompanying rhythms to make it more involved and enjoyable for the performers. However, I would still rate this arrangement for intermediate performers at the very least since there are passages in most of the parts that have the performers playing in the third position. The format of the download is one pdf consisting of the score and parts. I hope you enjoy this arrangement, and happy playing!
