This is a work ideal for both,  professional performers as well as students of the year before College level (ie. 17 years old)In the past, I had the chance to experience how performing with a musician who is also your personal partner (wife, girlfriend, etc.) can ease the process of merging together, enhancing the performance as if it were by a single musician rather than two separate individuals. So, when I was asked to write a piece for a duo in such circumstances, like the Rose-Gibbs Duo, I saw it as a great opportunity to explore the possibilities of blending, fusing, and merging musical content, sound, and other parameters into a cohesive whole.Therefore, this work explores the concept of musical discourse produced by the interaction of both instruments, which often have to align their accents, timbre, or dynamics to become one entity; as if melting together, as if two solids became liquid and fused to form a new alloy. Así que, cuando me pidieron componer para un dúo en tales circunstancias, como el Rose-Gibbs Duo, lo vi como una gran oportunidad para explorar las posibilidades de mezclar, fusionar e integrar el contenido musical, el sonido y otros parámetros en un todo cohesivo.Por lo tanto, esta obra explora el concepto del discurso musical producido por la interacción de ambos instrumentos, que a menudo deben alinear sus acentos, timbre o dinámicas para convertirse en una sola entidad; como si se fundieran juntos, como si dos sólidos se convirtieran en líquido y se fusionaran para formar una nueva aleación. Just a pulse, bassoons and basset horns, like a rusty squeezebox. Then suddenly; high above it, an oboe, a single note, hanging there unwavering, till a clarinet took over and sweetened it into a phrase of such delight! This was no composition by a performing monkey! This was a music I’d never heard. Filled with such longing, such unfulfillable longing. It seemed to me that I was hearing the very voice of God.--- 'Amadeus' (1984)This is one of the most gorgeous woodwind ensemble composition written during in the Classical period, by W.A. Mozart. It is now a common knowledge that Mozart was not fond of flute as an instrument, therefore we see the instrumention in the original version was without flute. In this arrangement, the melodies and accompaniment are separated with all the main melodies played by soloists which corresponds to the original principal parts. Horn is also arranged into Alto Saxophones which is more common in a woodwind ensemble.

For Solo and SS divisi, a cappella, the music has a light, ethereal feeling. “Beati� can be taken as a sort of “Blessed are they� prefix for the movements which are not direct quotes from the Beatitudes. This movement is a unison, chant-like setting of the Latin texts for Genesis 20:13 (“Thou shalt do me this kindness…�) and Numbers 11:17 (“And I will take of thy spirit�). The soloist begins and sometimes takes over from the choral voices. Mostly unison except for about ten measures (out of the 69) in two-part texture and four measures in three parts.
