It is easy to unintentionally speed up when you get to the chorus, but it is best to really concentrate on maintaining the unhurried tempo because there are a lot of notes in the chorus (octaves in both hands) which are easy to miss if you are speeding along too fast. The song is as sunny as its title would suggest, with a gentle swing in the rhythm and a melodic contour that almost traces the shape of a smile. The arrangement is primarily homophonic, and whilst it has a few more added 6th chords than you'd find in traditional barbershop, it clearly has its roots in that idiom. The second pass through the chorus shares the melody around so that everybody gets some candy. N.B.
