A friend of Adolphe Sax, his works for the saxophone are among the first for this instrument. In addition to three fantasies for alto saxophone and piano, Savari wrote a series of ensembles which go from duo to octet. His works were published by Sax between 1861 and 1862. He died in 1870. This work is in four main sections, a slow introduction with a final cadenza, an original Waltz theme with a variation, an Andante section based on the Waltz theme and a bolero which, after short reprise of the waltz theme, ends with a brilliant coda.

This name, chosen by its author, completely exhausts the content of this music and emphasizes the main idea of the composition, as well as the tonality of all parts. Each part provides comprehensive details in this series and has its own title. I emphasize that this is by no means a programmatic essay. The nature of each part and their internal content pushed me to follow my interpretation of each part in the orchestral transcription. 1. Hymne is essentially nothing more than a Hymn of love! His character, sublime above the everyday, is, as it were, raised to the surface and presented in bright, broad strokes as an irrefutable truth. 2. Romanza - I perceive it as a kind of parody of a love romance with the main sentiments and elements inherent in this genre. This is by no means a refutation of love, but only some irony over the false, pretentious way of expressing this feeling. The grotesque character is emphasized whenever possible by the orchestration. 3. Rondoletto - this part, from the very beginning in my orchestration, resembles the multi-voiced play of musicians preparing to play, testing the sound of their instruments, tuning them and playing out. 4. Cadenza Finala - the nature of the music is the union and rapture of love. In my orchestration there can be traced duets of various instruments and orchestra groups such as: a pair of Flutes, a pair of Oboes, Clarinets, Trumpets, Trombones, 1st and 2nd Violins. This feature of the pairs I have chosen should emphasize their relationship and relatedness.

The intent of this is similar to Edvard Grieg's Lyric Pieces, where he composed 66 short pieces with nationalistic sentiments. The difficulty of the pieces ranges from Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate.Each piece in the suite is fashioned after one of Singapore's constituencies from the 2015 General Election. From each constituency, I have taken the first letter from its name and given the piece a title to reflect the identity of the area there. The music was then composed around that particular identity. The entire suite was composed in 2019 over a period of about 4 months and because it was not on time for National Day, I only officially released the suite in early August 2020 instead.
