Vivace For Violin And Hornfor the 2018 Chamber Music Contest Entry I was so impressed while listening to some of the wonderful recordings of Elmira Darvarova on the violin and Howard Wall on the Horn.  It inspired me to finish a duet that toke birth back in the times when I started playing violin.  Now after 40 years I guess it is ready!!! I am very grateful for their inspiration. It is dedicated to - „Elmira and Howard The piece requires high skilled and experienced artists. I have used some interpretation symbols to suggest an interpretation and of course I tried to manipulate the audio file. I did very little Bowing. I prefer to leave it to your own interpretation, creativity, or school demands or preferences. Feel free to experience your own bowing and interpretation. Remember that as an artist you can perform as it pleases you better.  The score was written on Finale.  The sound file For the 2018 Chamber Music Contest Entry, was performed with samplers from Garritan and conceived as an audio support for the presentation of the score. This is a composition about Autism, which affects a member of our family, Joshua, who despite his condition has remarkable and wonderful qualities, as do his immediate family who, it’s fair to say have been to hell and back. I personally, sometimes have problems coping with the best of people and can be most intolerant sometimes but my amazing wife manages somehow to cope with me (most of the time). However, the sort of problems and challenges families with autistic children face daily, weekly, yearly is simply herioc and very underestimated. Anyway music is the only thing I seem to be half decent at so I dedicate this piece to Josh who I know one day will be perfect. The piece begins and ends with a stride style novelty piano tune and has sad and emotional themes and modulations throughout. There is a brief minor melt down depicted in the music and interaction issues but there is (has to be) a nice jolly happy ending which is the rag/stride style.

He wanted a piece from me for his sixth grade orchestra.The piece is in two movements (an excellent introduction to multi movement compositions) with each of the two movements being progressive, meaning the second is a bit more difficult than the first. The first movement, River Song, is an original folk song with beautiful harmonies and melodies. This is a wonderful way to introduce minor key to your ensemble. The second movement, River Dance, is a rhythmic barn dance framing a lyrical chorale section. This movement is in the more comfortable key of B-flat and serves as an excellent introduction to syncopation.

In our skill level system, three sharps and six-eight time signature are both in our second beginner skill level. And yet, the highest note in the first part is fourth space E. At Last, Victorious! easy trumpet quartet is the kind of piece I would assign to my students right before they “graduate� from the second beginner skill level into the first intermediate skill level. At Last, Victorious! is a march in six-eight time signature in three sharps. It is not as long as a traditional march and the “trio� is not technically a real trio (and therefore not marked as such).
