The style is classical and players will enjoy the interesting devices used in the piece. A sublime climax point is heard before the final sustained chord. This tasteful arrangement would be much appreciated by the many enthusiasts for Irish music in general and O Carolan in particular.

Despite some high notes it is suitable for students and amateur quartets.
