Vince Guaraldi’s classic ¾ time jazz ballad from A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Scored for very beginning jazz ensemble. This chart is accessible to first year players. Instrumentation is flexible. Includes 6 horn parts, playable with just two (A1 and B1). Ranges for all but the Horn A1 part are confined to notes learned in the first half of book one in major band method books.

Two groups of horns trade the melody and harmony lines while the rhythm section sets a simple light swing groove. In order to achieve color changes, all horn A parts should be played by instruments with similar tone, likewise, horn B parts should be played by instruments with similar tone.
