This is a brass sextet arrangement of the well-known 2nd movement of Beethoven's 7th symphony. Additionally, there is a quite important timpani part. Until relatively recently, this piece held the record for the melody with the longest run of the same note. The score is laid out as Parts 1/2 in eb, parts 3/4 in Eb part 5 in Bb and part 6 in Eb (all treble clef) Parts are supplied as follows: Part 1 in Bb/C (Treble) Part 2 in Bb/C (Treble)/C (Alto) Part 3 in F/Eb/C (Alto) Part 4 in F/Eb/C (Alto)/C (Bass) Part 5 in Bb/C (Bass) Part 6 in Eb/C (Bass) Timpani At nearly 7 1/2 minutes long, it is quite a lengthy piece, but is relatively undemanding on the lip.

Keith Terrett has beautifully arranged for Brass Quintet and optional Timpani two of the most popular Voluntaries by Jeremiah Clarke. 1. Trumpet Voluntary (also known as the Prince of Denmark's March) written around 1700 and 2. Trumpet Tune.

They are both very recognizable and used very often for wedding processionals. During WWII, Trumpet Voluntary was used during broadcasts of the BBC and became strongly associated with the opposition to Nazi occupation and propaganda (Wikipedia).

Brahms Academic Festival Overture was composed in 1880 as a thank you to the University of Breslau which awarded him an honorary Doctorate. The work is a boisterous collection of student drinking songs but not without some of his patented dark melancholy in between sections.

Matthew McCrady has beautifully arranged the entire 10-minute work for 12-part Brass Ensemble, Timpani and Percussion, employing the rich sounds from Brahms' composition.

Symphony No. 2 by Wilhelm Stenhammar was composed between 1910 and 1915. It was a personal struggle for him, and it is now considered one of the great Nordic symphonies of the era.

The Finale from Symphony No. 2 for Brass Ensemble, Timpani & Organ features a grandiose double fugue, displaying Stenhammar's preoccupation with counterpoint as a way of overcoming his doubts about his compositional knowledge.

A new arrangement of Handel's 1742 Hallelujah Chorus from MESSIAH created to accompany a choral ensemble; scored for 2 Bb Trumpets, Horn, Trombone & Bass Trombone (or Tuba) and Timpani, this arrangement omits much of the voice doubling found in brass arrangements meant to be performed without singers, and uses brass/timpani notation from the original Watkin-Shaw (Novello) and Tertius Noble (G. Schirmer) orchestra parts.  Keyboard using the Watkins-Shaw or Tertius Noble editions is still needed as an accompaniment with these brass/timpani parts.  Concert pitch is D Major to match the choral scores.  .
