I'm dedicating this piece to the cats in my adult life since I met my wife, Becky. They each have a special place in my heart, and this piece is a tribute to them. The first movement describes the pain I felt when losing Cuddles and Chloe. The second movement describes the joy, love, and playfulness they all bring while on this Earth. The piece is also meant to be somewhat educational in nature and is a great tool for an intermediate player to learn expressiveness and somewhat more advanced techniques of music-making.
