Cello Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1457605 By Motley Crue. By Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Pop,Rock,Wedding. Individual part. 2 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #1036634. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.1457605). Although hair metal band Mötley Crüe is best known for their rock anthems about girls and motorcycles, a standout moment of their discography is the (slightly) more sentimental power ballad Home Sweet Home. Released in 1985, the song opens with a catchy piano line and lyrics describing the singer's desire to come home and make things right with his significant other. Even though the epic guitar solo later in the song preserves the band's signature hard rock feel, this is still a popular request to this day for weddings and events, and you'll definitely have fun playing this Cellobat version for solo cello! Originally written for a wedding ceremony, this chart maintains the lyrical verses, hard-hitting choruses, and even the guitar solo of the original (although it is somewhat truncated, since the original solo is almost a full minute long!). Rated advanced-intermediate for some tenor clef and higher notes (not quite up to thumb position, but as high as 6th); this will be playable for more advanced students and sightreadable for professionals.Sarah “Cellobat” Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. You may have seen her onstage with legendary rock band Aerosmith as the cellist for their “Deuces Are Wild” residency, playing more than 50 sold-out shows with the Bad Boys from Boston; she is also the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. She also plays and tours with many other world-renowned groups including the Femmes of Rock, Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, and David Perrico’s Pop Strings Orchestra. Sarah has made a number of TV appearances including the Billboard Music Awards, the Latin Grammy Awards, the iHeartRadio Music Festival, and the CBS reality show “Love Island”; she also played with Michael Bublé for his sold-out Resorts World residency and appeared with him on the Kelly Clarkson Show. Such a fun song to sing and was well known in the early 60s and was number 1 inthe UK in 1976.  Parts are included at the end of the main score to save you money on printing costs. Written SATB, though the Tenor line could easily be sung by a lower Alto section. The melody is mostly in the Alto line.Nothing especially difficult although there is very little unison, so your singers need to be confident to pull this off effectively. The Showaddywaddy backing track is in C and this arrangement is in D.

Double Bass,Drums,Guitar,Piano,Trumpet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.973272 Composed by Jimmy McHugh. Arranged by David Leech. Contemporary. 67 pages. David Leech #4747745. Published by David Leech (A0.973272). This song, long a part of the Great American Songbook, was composed by McHugh and Fields in 1930 and has since become a jazz standard. Recorded numerous times by everybody from Louis Armstrong to Dave Brubeck, it was a big hit for Tommy Dorsey in 1945. This arrangement was inspired by the 1957 Dizzy Gillispie version from his album Sonny Side Up, featuring tenor giants Sonny Rollins and Sonny Stitt.Instrumentation is the standard big band: five saxes (a,a,t,t,b), five trumpets, four trombones, guitar, piano, bass & drums. The first tenor has a 32 bar ad lib solo on the second chorus.Brass parts are pretty high, particularly in the last 16 bars, where the first trumpet stays above the staff, going up to a high F#.

Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #1055083. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1477702). Aside from the fact that How Am I to Know? was once recored by Frank Sinatra recorded alongside Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra, I wasn't able to find a lot of info about the history of this tune from 1929. That being said, this version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements and we added a few left-hand fills for rhythm. We hope you like what we've done with this grand old tune!
