Composed by traditional German folksong (c.1820). Arranged by Scott S. Stewart. Concert,Folk,Standards. Octavo. 9 pages. Scott S. Stewart #6789441. Published by Scott S. Stewart (A0.955891).

Du, du liegst mir im Herzen (You, you are in my heart) is a tender folk song believed to have originated in northern Germany around 1820. It is, for its simplicity and innocence, a best-loved German folk-song – one that has also found its way on soundtracks of popular movies.  Whether you prefer the oom-pah-pah of a German beerhall or the sentimental rendering of young love, this German song is popularly performed at ethnic festivals, used as a teaching song for German classes, etc. It is arranged for 4-part SATB ensemble with piano accompaniment.  Performance time: 2:25+-
