Instrumental Duet Bassoon,Instrumental Duet,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588879 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by David McKeown. Folk,Hanukkah,Jewish,World. Score and parts. 6 pages. David McKeown #6017089. Published by David McKeown (A0.588879). 7.40pm is a traditional Russian Jewish tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for one Oboe and one Bassoon. It isn’t completely clear where the title 7.40pm comes from. One interpretation is that 7.40pm was the time the Odessa tram conductors finished work and danced to this tune. But there are versions titled 7.40am which may refer to the time of Jewish early morning prayers. Whatever the origin, there are several Russian recordings of 7.40pm that predate the 1917 revolution.7.40pm is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. After a slow and expressively beginning, the melody switches to dance tempo.  7.40pm is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of a little over three minutes, this version of 7.40pm is perfect for recital and concert performances, both formal and informal. String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.511508 Composed by Han-Ki Kim. Classical,Contemporary,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 27 pages. Han-Ki Kim #3472125. Published by Han-Ki Kim (A0.511508). Arirang String Orchestra Op.154  “Arirang†is a representative folk song of Korea and a famous song widely known around the world. This concerto was composed to give value as an artistic literature to such a familiar theme. In this concerto “Arirangâ€, I want both the performers and the audience to feel “musical sympathyâ€. It was commissioned to commemorate the 60th anniversary of I Musici's founding and was dedicated to them. Following the short and fast introduction in 3/4 time, it is connected in the form of 5 variations in 6/8 time. Each variation expresses a different musical atmosphere, performance speed, or change in composition. In general, the main melody is mainly played by the first violin, but as far as the main melody is concerned, in this music, high-pitched instruments and low-pitched instruments intersect and cycle in equal positions, not in a melodicline relationship. After the fourth variation, a virtuosic solo of the movement alone is connected, and after the finale with a broad and majestic atmosphere, it ends with a short and lively coda with the same character as the beginning.  Shown Bowing sign and Fingering(Vn,Va part) will be very helpful to player. Optional Violin 3(Instead of Viola part)  part included.

Fl. Ob. Cl. Bsn. - Intermediate - Digital Download SKU: F2.FM545 Composed by Malcolm Crane. Wind Quartet - Flute, Oboe, Clarinet and Bassoon. Score and parts. 51 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM545. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM545). ISBN 9790570484447.'Just As The Tide Was A'Flowin' is a simple arrangement which should be performed accordingly. Make sure the melody is always prominent whichever instrument takes it. 'The Salley Gardens' is of Irish origin with words by W.B. Yeats. I have tried to create a rather dream-like atmosphere; the quaver passages should flow smoothly with the phrasing well observed. 'The Wraggle-Taggle Gypsies' should rollick along with good contrast between the slurred and staccato notes. 'The Water Is Wide', although of Scottish origin, was included in Cecil Sharpe's 'Folk Songs from Somerset'. It's in a contemplative style; again, make sure the melody line is never over-powered by the other instruments. 'Drunken Sailor' should be played with great humour, preferably after a few tots of rum!

Instrumental Duet,Lever Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.803862 Composed by Elder Joseph Brackett, Jr. Arranged by Serena O’Meara. Folk,Sacred,Spiritual,Traditional,Wedding. 19 pages. O'Meara Music #5318299. Published by O'Meara Music (A0.803862). This famous Shaker quick dance has many names including Tis a Gift to be Simple, Simple Gifts, and Lord of the Dance. Aaron Copland included the melody in his ballet, Appalachian Spring (1944). Arrangements of Simple Gifts has been sung at three US Presidential Inaugurations (1985, 1993 and 2009).   The Multi-level pieces were initially arranged in an A Version. When that was completed, it was then simplified to form the B Version.  The B Version has thinner lines and allows more time for placing the fingers. The purpose is to permit harpists of various playing levels to enjoy performing together. In the key of D, the melody is divided evenly between parts. There are no pedal or lever changes. Dynamics are clearly marked. Shaker songs were quite often sung in rounds.
