Have you ever wondered how to have a really happy life? In Matthew 5-7 in The New Testament and in 3 Nephi 12-14 in The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, our Savior teaches us the way to contentment and happy living through The Beatitudes. These gems of Christian living were taught by Jesus as the initial part of the most well-known of his teachings called The Sermon on the Mount. The word “beatitude” comes from the Latin “beatitudo” meaning “blessedness.” Each of the eight beatitudes in this book consists of two phrases: the condition and the result. Together, these illustrate a set of ideals focusing on love and humility, echoing the highest of Jesus’ teachings on spirituality and compassion. Each also promises a future reward, and the themes appear to escalate from beginning to advancing levels of responsibility and spirituality as the Sermon progresses. By the end of the Sermon a recipient would have earned the reward to stand ceremonially in the presence of God, and to ultimately gain the greatest reward of living with Him in heaven. The purpose of this book is to praise our Lord through song and text, rejoicing in the gifts we receive from Him as we do as He suggests. Please enjoy this collection of original solos, SATB choral renditions, and a duet, along with a short text explaining each beatitude in the order our Savior spoke them so many years ago as part of the greatest sermon ever given, our Lord’s Sermon on the Mount! It was a joy to prepare them for you. Happy Living!

Composed by Jennette Jay Booth. Christian,Sacred,Spiritual. 7 pages. Sound Booth #6371945. Published by Sound Booth (A0.868044).

As I have watched what the youth of today are up against, I couldn't help but think of the stripling warriors described in the Book of Mormon.
It struck me that even though every warrior miraculously survived the two battles they fought in, every warrior was also badly injured, many to the point of fainting from the loss of blood.

And what happened next?

Every able soldier worked to bind up the wounds of the injured.
THIS is part of the story of their miraculous survival!
This is OUR part of the story as the parents/leaders of the youth today.
Who Will Bind Their Wounds? is a call to the latter-day Army of Antipus to come fight for and rescue our beloved Youth Battallion.

Will you hasten to the fight like Antipus of old?
Will you march with all your might to defend the stripling fold?...

SKU: A0.1251785

Composed by Jonathan David Whitcomb. Christian,Classical,Easter,Religious,Sacred. Octavo. 7 pages. Whitcomb Music #845962. Published by Whitcomb Music (A0.1251785).

The music is by Jonathan David Whitcomb, with some of the words from an English translation of an ancient text: mostly in *Third Nephi, what is now designated Chapter 11. Whitcomb added and arranged some words to work musically.

Most of the lyrics center around an account of the appearance of Jesus Christ to people of the American continent many centuries ago.

*(in the Book of Mormon)

PART ONE

Press forward: Feast of the word of Christ;
Behold you shall have eternal life.
Hold to the rod: the word of God;
Behold the tree of the love of God.

We like sheep had gone astray,
Turning from the chosen way.
Turn again. Turn to God.

While the Shepherd seeks a stray,
Father, help us keep to the Way.
Now comes a still small voice.

Behold my Son, my Beloved Son:
Come unto Him for eternal life.
Behold His hands, his feet and side:
For you he bled and died.

Turn to Him. Come unto Christ.
Come to Him.

PART TWO

Now comes a man in white.
I am Jesus Christ. Come to me.

I am the light and the life of the world.
I have been slain for the sins of the world.

Feel the wounds in my hands and my feet and side.
See with your eyes; feel with your hands.
Come to me.
