Londonderry Air is an Irish folk tune, it is also known as Danny Boy which is a song that uses the tune but has lyrics written by English lawyer Frederic Edward Weatherly in 1910, and set to the tune in 1913.

This arrangement is written for 4 Bb clarinets. If you'd like a version for 3 Bb and Bass please see my page as there is an alternate version for this. The arrangement is of intermediate level and would be great for a quartet looking to expand their performance repertoire. As the tune Londonderry Air is in the public domain this arrangement can be performed anywhere and has proven extremely successful with audiences.

The source of this text is unknown. Though appropriate for Pentecost there is no direct connection to the scripture readings or sacramentary prayers for that Feast. The composition was written in the early years succeeding Vatican II (October 11, 1962 – December 8, 1965), a time of creative freedom. The language is period specific to that time, yet the music is universal.

Trio Sonata in C is a pleasant little work by the mostly unknown German Baroque composer Johann Georg Linike. Although called a trio sonata, it does not follow the typical format of a Baroque trio sonata. Each of the three movements are quite short – think of it as a trio sonata in miniature. Together, all three movements take less than five minutes to perform. 

1st, 2nd, and 3rd parts are included for both E flat and B flat instruments. The parts may be combined as desired. The short length and moderate range of the piece make this a good choice for intermediate players. Movement 1, Allegro in C major, is in common time. Movement 2, Adagio in A minor, is in  common time. Movement 3, Vivace in C major, is in 3/4 time.
