Morning Star Serenade expresses  a variety of emotions, displayed as an assortment of variations on a theme. It could be called a tone poem with lots of motion, including an assortment of chord progession settings that make the themes into a kaleidescope of musical colors. There are also some fugal treatments of the theme, including an inverted motif. It's an advanced intermediate piece owing to the number of accidentals, dynamic changes and the counterpoint type movement in the instrument sections.
