Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1414887 Composed by Alexander Holz. Arranged by ISBN 9783758499203, 8.3 x 11.7 inches, English, German. Film/TV,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards,Wedding. Score. 27 pages. Alexander Holz #996635. Published by Alexander Holz (A0.1414887). Music Essences was inspired by the idea of developing a piano book that is not a school, but offers new pieces alongside the old classics. This allows you to expand your repertoire for any occasion. The title describes the pieces as very condensed musical ideas, or impressions. They can be musically unfolded and further developed. Expanded interpretations are also conceivable, both in terms of playing and instrumentation. Nocturne The piece is technically inspired by Frederic Chopin's Trois Nocturnes Op. 9 No. 2 in E flat major. Coloraturas are to be added independently by the performer in order to emphasize this character. In addition, the mood is blended with the tragic romanticism of Edward Elgar's Salut d'Amour op. 12.ExpressionThe two different parts at the beginning are later combined in a third Espressivo part, which is based on Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, 2nd movement and picks up on its tender and intense mood.Sonata No. 2The variations are partly inspired by the A major Sonata K331 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, while the trio was influenced by the mood of the Träumerei from Kinderszenen op. 15 by Robert Schumann.AnthemThe anthem refers to the movie Avengers: Endgame. The theme from The real Hero is basically recognizable in a modified form and tries to capture the unique emotional state of this film music of sadness, pride and honour.SerenadeFrom bar 5, the initially accompanying theme is joined by a second, which reinterprets Franz Schubert's Serenade No. 4, D957 and develops independently as it progresses. The themes merge from bar 55 and fully develop the melancholy character of the piece.

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.786004 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Andrew R. Guarrine. Children,Folk. Score and parts. 16 pages. GuarrineMusic #6073857. Published by GuarrineMusic (A0.786004). Not your typical waltz, this arrangement is based on an English singing game and contains non-traditional counter-lines and phrasing that will keep your performers counting and audience listening. The melody (and variations) passed between both violin and viola sections creating  some interesting harmonies, the accompaniment doesn’t always play on 2 and 3, while the bass never stops keeping some sort of a time!  The suggested tempo is at 124, but feel free to speed it up and really challenge your players.      Key of G  Grade 3 (because of counting and range)

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB divisi) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1373417 Composed by Phil Beaman. Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Pop,Romantic Period. 10 pages. Phil Beaman #957783. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.1373417). I originally wrote Total Eclipse as an expressive Art Song for solo voice and piano.  I used several lines of poetry from Newburgh Hamilton (1741) and set them to unique music that is a fusion of Classical, Romantic, and Modern, with a touch of Pop.  The music expressively drifts from major to minor to modal every few measures, inspired by the themes of darkness and light.  When I adapted it for SATB I filled out the already rich harmony and added ethereal 'oo's under some of the melody.  In a few brief measures, at different places, SAB each will have a divisi line where it splits to 2 parts.  (The texture is never thicker than 5 parts at once.)  This approachable piece of music is a good introduction for singers to the interpretation of an Art Song and is a dramatic performance piece for concert.  And perfect for the upcoming April 8 total eclipse!(Haydn also used variations of this text to create several Recitatives and an Aria for his oratorio Samson.)  10 pages, 2:00 minutesVocal Ranges:  all 1 octave; Sop - middle C to C; Alto - low G to G; Tenor - D to C; Bass - G to Gattached recording is of the original solo voice version which SATB is closely based on.  Be the first choir to record this and send me a link which I will post.  plbeaman@gmail.comalso available on this site as a vocal solo in several keys, and as a Unison Choral hymn

Jmsgu3 #874131. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1282881). XXXVII from the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book.John Bull was an English composer, organist, virginalist, and organ builder who lived from 1562/63 to 1628. He was educated as a chorister of the Chapel Royal in London and later became a doctor of music at the universities of both Oxford and Cambridge. Bull was one of the most famous composers of keyboard music of the early 17th century, and most of his compositions were written for the virginal, a keyboard instrument popular in the Renaissance period. He was known for his outstanding technical ability and keyboard virtuosity, and his music is distinguished by unfailing resourcefulness in devising new musical ideas. Bull's reputation rests on his extensive compositions for virginals and organ, some 150 extant pieces published in Musica Britannica. He was also one of the contributors to Parthenia, a collection of keyboard music published in 1611. Bull wrote an anthem, God the Father, God the Son, for the 1613 wedding of the princess and the Elector Palatine, in addition to his keyboard compositions, verse anthems, canons, and other works. Bull's music ranked among the foremost composers along with Byrd, Gibbons, and Tomkins.John Bull had several contemporaries who were also prominent composers during the Renaissance period. Some of these composers include:William Byrd: Byrd was an English composer and one of the most influential figures in English Renaissance music. He was a contemporary of John Bull and is considered one of the greatest composers of his time. Byrd's compositions include sacred choral music, keyboard works, and consort music.Orlando Gibbons: Gibbons was an English composer and organist who lived during the same period as John Bull. He was known for his sacred choral music, particularly his anthems and verse anthems. Gibbons' compositions are characterized by their expressive harmonies and intricate counterpoint.Thomas Tomkins: Tomkins was another English composer who was active during the same time as John Bull. He was known for his sacred choral music, including anthems and services. Tomkins' compositions are notable for their rich harmonies and expressive melodies.Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck: Sweelinck was a Dutch composer and organist who was highly regarded during the Renaissance period. He was known for his keyboard music, particularly his variations and fantasias. Sweelinck's compositions had a significant influence on Bull and other composers of the time. These composers, along with John Bull, were influential figures in the development of Renaissance music and significantly contributed to the repertoire of keyboard and choral music during that era.

Flute and piano - intermediate to advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q53381 Op. 69. Composed by Giulio Briccialdi. Edited by Edmund Wachter and Elisabeth Weinzierl. This edition: Sheet music. (c) 2020 Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz. Classical. Downloadable. Op. 69. 17 pages. Schott Music - Digital #Q53381. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q53381). English • German. The Italian Giulio Briccialdi was taught to play the flute chiefly by his father. His virtuoso career began at an early age and he was appointed as flute teacher to the Count of Syracuse in Sicily. On numerous tours his playing drew enthusiastic responses from audiences and critics alike: ‘The only really good flute-player that I have ever seen’, wrote Rockstro in A Treatise on the Flute. In 1871 Briccialdi was appointed as a professor at the Conservatoire in Florence. Having been introduced to the newly constructed cylindrical flute by Theobald Böhm in 1847, he added some minor further modifications of his own. His Bb thumb key was a useful addition to the original Böhm system subsequently known in the history of flute making as the ‘Biccialdi thumb key’. As a composer, apart from a single opera he mainly wrote pieces for the flute in the fashion of the time: arrangements, sets of variations and virtuoso showpieces a large number of which were published by Schott. In the original publication of Allegro alla Spagnuola op. 69 bars 23 to 41 were omitted from the score and only printed in the accompanying flute part. For this new edition the missing piano accompaniment has been reconstructed using the material available. Plate no. 12098 / published in 1853.
